You’ve been wondering when the Iraqi Dinar is going to revalue and I’ve got some exciting news for you! It’s going to revalue on March, 25th!
Want to know how I came up with that? I have a cousin whose father-in-law works in a high ranking position that had a dream about the iraqi dinar revaluation and told me about it.
Seriously, I get so many people leaving comments claiming to have insider information on when that’s magical date will be, and every one of those dates have passed. It is on of the most popular methods used by dealers to entice potential investors to get off the sidelines and buy dinar.
Heck, dealers are now selling options to buy dinar at a set price for a fee – that’s right, they guarantee that should the revaluation happen, you’ll be given the option to buy the dinar at the price at the time you bought the option. I suspect that should the dinar reval, many will simply close their doors and walk.
If the dinar reval happens (and that’s a big if!), I highly doubt you’ll make any substantial amount of money. I know, it’s not what you want to hear, and hey, I have dinar myself (yes, I fell for it too) and would love to become a millionaire overnight!
Fact is that dealers use the Iraqi Dinar Kuwaiti Dinar comparison to manipulate people into believing it’s going to happen again and that 1 dinar will be worth at least $3 – the government warns about this as I’ve documented on my iraqi dinar scam page.
Here is a comment from Sheila who claims to have studied this in-depth:
I’ve been in this for a while now and have done more than my share of research. I can tell you what exactly what is going to happen but you probably wouldn’t believe me. It seems that the dream carries a much bigger weight than does reality.
When the investigation into the redenomination is complete, it will go to parliament for passing or vetoing. It is my educated guess that it will pass. Redenomination not only happens in times of inflation but also after inflation is under control. Removing zero’s from the notes will give the Dinar the appearance of the stability thus attracting investment into the country. It will also make transactions easier for banks as well as the average Iraqi. However, given how slow things are done in Iraq it could be months or even years before we see the Iraqi Parliament make a determination on the deletion of the zero’s .
Inflation is of concern to the world right now. High oil prices, Food, and just about every commodity out there is going up. The dollar is falling rapidly on every front. Iraq managed to stabilize inflation for the last few years to about 3% now though since inflation is rampant throughout the world, Iraq’s inflation has risen in the last few months to 5.7%.
So if we do see a dinar revaluation soon it would be much better for the Iraqi’s. It will not be so good for us. Your 25,000 note would become 25. So if you have 1 million dinar you would have 1000 dinar. So with this it looks like you may break even, but before you jump up and down think about the spread and the fee, if you want to cash in. The fee could be from 1% to 10% and the spread could be as high at 30%. so right off the bat you’ve lost about $300.00 or so. If it’s even legal to own dinar in this country? What you say? Of course it’s legal! Is it? Well in 2004 a law was passed that allowed investment in Iraq from outside the country, it is known as CPA#39 but what few people don’t know is that this law was revoked in 2006. I do know that people are still selling Dinar in this country and many others but am I sure it is legal? No.
And if it isn’t, what is to stop Iraq from saying that unless you have an account in Iraq your Dinar will not be exchangeable? Oh I know you will say but what about all the countries that are holding dinar in their reserves? Iraq couldn’t and wouldn’t do that to the rest of the world. Well I have been to the sites of many of the major Central Banks and have not found one time where they are holding Dinar. So unless you can show me proof, I don’t think the Central Banks are holding Dinar.
But hey! What about all that oil, they have the 3rd largest oil reserves in the world! Well that too has not been proven, but say they do for arguments sake. It does no good to have it if you can’t get it out of the ground and move it! Someday they may be able to if they rebuild their infrastructure, right now the country exists on 2 hours a day or less of electricity! They need new roads, and the pipelines need to be retooled in order for the oil to flow. That is not going to happen anytime soon. Iraq has an unemployment rate of between 22%and 27%. So they have to create jobs. They are still under sanctions because of the Kuwait issue, i.e. border disputes and bodies that have yet to be recovered, plus artifacts that were stolen from Kuwait. Then there is the HCL, that is the Hydro Carbon Law.
So it is my opinion that if you have money to invest, invest in another currency that is not a very long term investment. If you already own Dinar and unless you need money to pay the rent, hang on to it. There is no sense in taking the loss now or at least until the iraqi dinar revaluation occurs.
Here is the question I have, with the Dinar. Why would anyone who sells dinar (especially brokers who have purchased them at various rates/dinar over time) sell them? They would have to be idiots to sell something at 40% over book value when they stand to make (in their words) millions in USD per million dinar. They would horde what they have in inventory. It makes no sense!
The brokers churn (which is illegal per the SEC) worthless paper on poor schmucks who get caught up in the get rich quick scheme. Every sale/trade puts USD in the brokers’ pockets. What will they say to their “investors” when it is time to cash out and the paper is worth maybe nothing or maybe $1,160 USD per million dinar. I bet they leave the country in a hurry.
It seems everyone thinks that the Iraqi government will do the revaluing. Does it ever occur to anyone that the value of the US Dollar could go down to the value of the Dinar? The way things have been going, that would seem more plausable.
What a frenzy this Dinar has caused recently! From much of what I have seen and read, in my opinion, It just re-enforces what our world has come to, and what the vast majority of people in it, holds high in esteem… and that is GREED… having more worldly possessions. Even if the RV happens, and some of you make millions of dollars, what will you do to make the world a better place?
Unfortunately, we exist in a world where the theme is “its all about me”. Me, Me, Me agenda. We have become a world / society where the only thing that seems to matter to the masses is money, accumulation and consumption. You see it in every facet and fabric of our existence.
Don’t get me wrong… nothing wrong with wanting wealth, and with having it… when wanting it and having it is used for the right reasons.
Problem is, that is not the status-quo / norm, but rather, just the opposite.
I really hope that this Dinar RV happens for you all. However, you have choices to make, like in everything in life. You can hoard up everything for yourself, or you can make a difference in others lives for the good.
Whether or Not the Dinar RV’s, let me encourage you to love the Lord your God, and love each other as you would yourselves… help each other, and to use your short time on this earth wisely. It is a dress rehearsal for your eternity. Its always of course your choice…
bank of America, Zions bank, Chase bank all trade Iraqi dinar.
Allow me to give you my in put or best guess and that’s all it is, a guess… this is a chance only, potential opportunity, remember the golden rule and never believe rumors and never invest more than you can loose, today I hold 200K and in the dinar revaluation I’m only looking for 10 cent gain to make me happy.
To date I am 9 dollars in the hole but today the trade rate is .00171 for 200000. dinar or 1164.000 for 1 US dollar. I have to make 79 dollars to break even on my 250 investment, now……after that and after 3/15/2012 and if it actually does revalue somewhere between 75cents to 1.00 per par, then we can smile and say “we are very happy and not greedy”. Long patients may award us 2.75 to 2.95 maybe even 3.50 to par by mid year but, there are a lot of plays here and a lot of things that have to fall in play,,, buy bulk,, hold watch and be patient, it’s not a overnighter. THE MONEY MAN
I know many that think the Dinar will “revalue” from .00006 to $5.00+ based on their in ground reserves of oil. Trouble is their oil biz only generated about 15-16B in biz in 2010, if a country’s success in the world markets is based on in ground reserves the the USA should have a surplus in dollars. Iraq has had 437 deaths in the first 30 days since the USA pulled out and that will only grow and lets not forget the Iranians. The Iraqi dinar will be lucky to see .01 in 5-8 yrs, the massive profits are all BS but a clever way to fleece the rubes with stories of $5-6-7-8 dollars per dinar…you will have a better chance of getting attacked by a Polar bear and a black bear all in the space of 1 hour.
None of this article is true on the revalue. I’ve lived through it first hand…..#1 the Iraqi’s cut all cash coming in and going out which puts a tight control on exchange. next they set a new monetary system with a final exchange rate (Europe did this too… you for got?) so your OLD Dinar 25k becomes 25 New dinar-IF YOU LIVED IN IRAQ!!! and if you try to buy the NEW Dinar you get 25 dinar!!!! so being said Look at your EXCHANGE RATE NOW —– Cut Zeros off you get $1.57 Per dinar for about 12 months. This increases cash flow its a no brainer – you go to the bank MOST TAKE THE DINAR I CHECKED MYSELF its actively traded as IQD Check it on your stock market BINGO Now you see I’m telling the truth. you go and bring the old dinar and you get $1.57 per dinar until its no longer valid in 12 months same as the euro and peru’s Nuevo sole and Kadafi’s lybian dinar and so on. so when they cancel the old notes its on to the new at even money
Chances are great and most likely to happen! They are not going to set back and let the US dictate monetary policy once they leave!
When will the Iraqi Dinar revalue?
No one can say for sure, but it odds are it’s never going to happen. Facts show that this money will stay the same and the only increase will be through economic factors over 100 + years. There is nothing going to happen in the next 50 years at least.
A lot of like are circulating, such as power people and celebrities buying and holding dinar which simply is not true. Those selling the dinar online, are making millions of US dollars per month off these fabrications.
Please understand that you would do well to spend your money elsewhere!
what the latest status on the New Iraqi Dollar Dinar? any word on its increase today. How can I get daily updates on value per par vs’s the USA dollar against the Iraqi Dinar?
iqd go up valve or not this monny is west invetment i loss 8 year .wt i do troh dust pain
or burn . Im too much waiting all friend lughfing me
What Denver Bank still deals in the Dinar … I have called the Colo. Bank & trust and they stopped dealing it two months ago. the gent said their soace in Dublin stopped dealing in The Dinar so they don’t get it to sell any more. He didn’y know why this happened because he said it was going well for the bank as he put it when it was stopped.
I bought 1.200 dollars worth of Dinar what is it worth today
I paid $400.00 for 500,000.00 Iraqi dinars They are the current notes. I bought mine in Kuwait. Did I pay to much? The big if. When it does hit will there be a window to sell it. I am hereing a lot of talk about the dinar value going up as high as 3-1, 5-1, even 8-1 this year. it sounds to good to be true.
If a new, stable Iraqi govenment emerges and the dinar tis to be revalthued, what are the chances that the current dinar will be cancelled and a new dinar will be created rendering the current currency worthless?
What U.S. Bank in the U.S. sells dinar?
Billions of dollars were made by oil speculators. the public was not welcomed into this tight group of investors who today, still manipulate the oil prices in the world. why is it the world will be let in on the iraq money game? it is not the dinar people want , it is the oil from this coutnry the world wants. if there are millions to be made from dinar, then someone should give the basics and pave the road for american investors, otherwize this all stincks to me….
Some of my friend has advised me for purchasing IQD and I felt it is very lucrative. Reading this information made me step back and rethink this trade. Thanks!
I bought 2million Iraqi Dinar while deployed to Iraq in 2006 for $1,600. They are all new currency. My plan it to hold onto it until the Echange rate goes close to what it was before 1990. If this takes 20 years (my retirement age) then I am okay with that. What is your thoughts?
Do you know of any banks in Florida that will buy back the dinar in millions from all of us should the dinar revalue soon (in exchange for US dollars)? We really do not want to fly to Iraq!
Every now and then, fate looks down and taps you on the shoulder. But, that can mean good, or bad? For the most part, if a person has taken some time to take a serious looks at the dinar story (A new country with the world’s second largest oil reserves), it might be easy for a person to actually believe in the old adage: ‘Hey, nothing ventured, nothing gained’.
I recall years ago a high school math teacher telling a class: ‘The odds of hitting a
lottery are about 50 million to one. And someone, from somewhere, is going to get lucky and eventually win that lottery. The only problem is: In order to win, even at 50 million to one, you’ve got to buy a lottery ticket’.
So, what’s the going cost of a beautiful dream these days? Because that’s exactly what buying a handful of dinars is: a lovely beautiful; dream? Paying big bucks for a college education is somewhat the same kind of investment, a dream of what can happen…is all goes right? Paying a lot of money to take a trip around the world is also a dream? But that dream, unfortunately, doesn’t put a penny in your pocket, unless of course, your name is rick steves? So now, the question is:
How much am I wiling to see, at the least, never get any larger then the money I put into it? Or, at best, see it multiply into a mountain greater then the pyramids in Egypt?
To me, just the dream itself is worth a lot more then all the money I have at my immediate disposal. But even m,ore then that, believing as I do that this is an opportunity of a lifetime, if I don’t buy into the iraqi dinar, I’ll one day be kicking my own bottom
from here to kingdo come. Really.
Wow! I was told that I would become a millionare also if I paid $500.00 for $142,000 Iraqi Dinar. and it would grow more after the war is over and i would become a millionare. I’m investigating this first before i go futher with it.
Ah, so we are to take it that you have done a lot of studying know that the iraqi dinar will increase in value during a 15 day window. You use Guarantee and Guess in the same sentence, sounds more like HOPE than anything! A fool and his money are soon parted.
Hi Ana,
Yes, you’re better off buying from an exchange than online. The exchange is backed by the government where the online sites are not!
i would like to now more about Iraqi Dinar. I get is good to go buy at exchange, better than order by mail or online.
Nothing is going to happen with the Iraqi Dinar before the end of the year, in fact, it’s going to be a long time before anything moves and when it does, you’ll find your dinar is worth exactly what it’s worth now! It’s a dream, that is all it is.
Hi, My family and I bought the Dinar and we are really needing the Dinar to revalue… Do you know if the Dinar is going to revalue before the year is out?
Hi Strve,
Wow, I’m sorry to hear this, and layaway at that! What is the site they are getting the layaway plan from and I’ll take a look and write back about.
HELP. Currently my entire family is caught up is this dream of getting rich off of the Iraqi dinar. I’m talking mother, 5 sisters, aunts uncles, and cousins! All keeping 1 million dinars on layaway which costs $120 a month. some have several packages. Most of the older ones are on social security. The site they are buying from makes it sound like their money is going to be worth what it was before the invasion any minute. How can I convince them to stop this madness?
tucool:
Ah, here we go again, another dealer trying to pressure visitors into buying dinar with the promise of being rich through a reval. So many of these dates have been set, and as always, it never happens, as this one never happened.
Mr. C,
What is the name of the bank you are dealing with, as I understand it, all banks in the US have stopped selling iraqi dinar.
My local bank stated that they can order the Iraqi Dinar from their main branch in New York and the cost is $8. If you purchase $300 worth the currency and nothing happens where the value goes up you lost $300. I look at it this way. I spend that much on the lottery and really get nothing in return. So a small investment of $300 would not hurt and if it pays off then it was a good investment
Many times dates have been set and told me ready to cash in next day, two years have gone by now. Iraq is unstable country so are the politicians. My belief and understand that many American politicians have lots of dinars bought I trust they will work towards to revalue the dinars to be rich and it would be legal money they can have for their future as well.
dinar president makes it official tomorrow the dinar value will go up to $3.25
Once again, All tounge in cheek. Please consider your “crazy idea” before buying Dinar. Just way to many lyies and tall tales are used to sell this pretty papaer !
thanks for the info. I have 1,000,000 in dinars that was issued by the central bank of iraq which i paid $1,200.00 for.WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH THEM?
PLEASE REPLY
not unless you are a collector.
Come on Mark, are you serious? Do you know how many “Very Reliable Sources” have been used to pump up the dinar, and NOT ONE has ever panned out. Keep Dreaming! Why do you think the banks stopped selling iraqi dinar? There is a change coming all right, but it sure isn’t for the better!
Has the Iraqi Dinar RV’d in Iraq? What is the rate? When will it RV in the U.S.?
BAGHDAD (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden arrived on a surprise visit to Iraq late Tuesday in a trip designed to chart a new relationship between the two countries after all American forces have left the country in just over a month.
I heard from a very reliable source, “Sandles on the Beach” that the plane was loaded with several steamer trunks each loaded with Dinars. Biden is secretly there to fource the RV and be first in line to cash in.
At long last our war efforts are paid off, the national Dept is gone, and all of us little investors are now soon to be wealthy.
There is not a set date for this RV. It happens when it happens but I GUARANTEE you it is going to happen soon. So much is going on in Iraq right now and from this minute to New Years is the best opportunity, however. I base my guess off of when the US troops are cleared out of Iraq. That Date (troops leaving) is from December 15, 2011 to January 1, 2012. Hold on to your Dinar with your life because this is going to happen. IF you want to be successful it takes patience and alot of studying.. Your welcome.
That day came and went Dinar Boris, and advice from a investment banker that can’t spell the capital city of Iraq in which he does business in (let alone everything else), is advice I don’t need! Another person trying to pump up the dinar by claiming claiming to have knowledge of a pending dinar reval!
I believe that the dinar revaluation is going to happen and will happen soon! During the Bush administration the US purchased 4 trillion Iraqi dinars at an exchange rate of 4,000 dinar to USD1. Bush stated that this would be a war that would pay for it’s self. American, British, Chinese, Korean and Japanese companies are pouring into Iraq at incredible rates. All of them want a piece of the action. This has to happen in order for the country of Iraq to function monetarily. It simply can’t handle the influx of investors that are streaming into the country, with a currency that is worthless. It has to happen and it will.
I’m an investment banker with an itinery that takes me to Bagdad 2-3 times a month. I know Shabibi, the officers at the CBI and even some of their children. I’ve dined in their homes. I just got back yesterday from a meeting with Shabibi, Biden, Hillary, the inner circle of the CBI, several officials from the government of Iran and Secretary Timothy Geithner on Skype. Maliki was about to announce what we’ve all been waiting for. As he stepped up to the podium, we were all holding our breath, when suddenly Shabibi farted and everyone cleared the room!!!! Due to that unfortunate occurence, the announcement will be delayed untl Thursday. In spite of this, I’m absolutely confident that the RV has already been done and will be announced on Thanksgiving at 11 AM Iraqui time. We shall all be gratefull for the blessing (unless Shabibi farts again). If that happens, it will be postponed till Christmas. To insure no further delays, all of us have agreed, like Timothy Geithner, to only attend the announcement on skype. I’m looking forward with all of you to a wonderful Thanksgiving that will save our economy and all dinarians throughout the world! Its all been done, so this Thursday just sit back and enjoy the turkey! Blessings to you all from one who knows!
Maybe we should start using the Dinar for currency in the US instead of the dollar?
It is prettier. We could just start thinking it is worth as much as a FRN is. That is all the the FRN value is based on.
Or maybe we could start printing some pretty paper, and figure out how to get people to think it is worth a lot now! And start using it as a medium of exchange.
Maybe we could make it redeemable in Silver and Gold?
Anybody got a printing press?
Before the war, the largest denomination was 250 Dinar, and it was backed by oil and gold and a debt free country, without IMF control.
The 25,000 note is about the only one sold now. It is kinda pretty, so maybe it costs 5 cents per note to print, though it is probably 3 cents.
So, lets reason together. Consider this example: The printers in Iraq print up 100,000 pieces of pretty paper , each with the number 25,000 printed on them. All 100,000 of these pretty papers are the same, so its very easy to do, at a cost of more or less, $5,000 US dollars.
They sell each piece of paper with the 25,000 number on them, to investors in large lots for about 19 US dollars,( who resell them to others for about 29 us dollars.)
So, for each 5 cent investment, Iraq gets 19 US dollars.
For a $5,000US investment, printing 100,000 pretty pieces of paper, the Iraq bank gets paid $1,900,000US.
I think that figures out to 38,000% profit. (380 times)
Would you stop this if you had a racket going where you invest a dollar and get 380 dollars back?
Would you keep this going as long as you could? yes
Would you, if you were unscrupulous, create rumors to enhance the sales? yes
Would you hire creative writers to feed the rumor mill? yes
Does the Koran teach it is good for a Muslim to deceive an infidel? yes
The latest rumor I hear is that:
“they quit selling Dinars on the internet, and they have jumped from 3 dollar per Dinar to 7 dollars per Dinar, they just have to work out the details for the exchanges to start, any day now! ”
Skeptical man that I am, I thought I might check it out before I got all emotional about suddenly being worth 4 million dollars. I searched google for sites selling iraqi dinar and lo and behold, a whole page of companies were there, each trying to get me to trade 1180 US dollars or so, for a million Dinars. I went through placing an order to the point of no return, and had no notice that the Dinars were no longer being sold. I returned.
If Iraq can sell enough of these pieces of paper, who needs oil?
We all love to dream, and dream about getting rich the easy way. Sure would be fun blowing a bunch of money, traveling, buying a house on the ocean, paying off debts the easy way, etc.
But I think we better look elsewhere, rather than giving our money to a bunch of people who don’t like us. I think they will figure out a way to keep us from getting rich on the deal.
All the hype almost got me to invest more money, basic greed, you know, but fortunately by better sense prevailed, and I’m glad I didn’t send more money to the people who hate me.
1Ti 6:9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
The proposed Iraqi Dinar revaluation is only to remove zeros from the currency. Think of Zimbabwe or Weimar Germany… the numbers on the currency notes got a little ridiculous when it took trillions to purchase groceries as a result of hyperinflation. Chile, Argentina, some eastern European countries also come to mind. When those hyperinflation episodes ended, new currency was issued, but people holding the old paper (which was often burned for heat in the winter) did not suddenly become fabulously wealth now, did they?
And if you think the globalist bankers and Powers-That-Be are just somehow going to allow the average Iraqi on the street to suddenly become fabulously wealthy when they turn in THEIR currency, just like you try to turn in yours… well — SWEET DREAMS to you. Even if Iraq does have wealth under it’s soil in the form of oil, do you really believe the people of that country are going to prosper at 1000 to 1 from it’s appearance on the market? NO! The NWO and Globalists destroyed that country for generations and blew it clear back to the stone age. They are DECADES from ever getting back to a standard of living and production that would warrant the kind of value everyone keeps thinking will come from simply removing 3 zeros from a FIAT currency.
Doubt me? Fine. Then SHOW ME A PRECEDENT in history where a bunch of old paper currency suddenly became one thousand times more valuable per unit!
Hi James,
My Name is Cathy, I live in texas. I am an investor as well. Spoke with my bank twice in my city. The manger informed me they stop selling dinar not long ago. They can only buy them from us. I wanted to be clear so on yesterday I asked her 19 nov 2011 if dinar rvd, can I bring my dinars to her to cash in. She said yes. I am doing what I need to do so when it happens I know what i need to do. Check with your local bank manager and see what they tell you. Check with banks that trades currency
Hello Michael if you would please explain how ? and where ? you did open account in Bank of Baghdad ?
Thank you
George V
I realize investing takes patience and time but ten years and two separate types of currency! This is getting to me now. Who can I talk to and get reliable honest advice for the best avenue of approach to either unload or invest these IQD? any reasonable non-curse laden remarks or help is sorely needed! Thx and GOD BLESS THE TROOPS and keep my friends still fighting safe!
Were Screwed…
Thank you for your post. It made a lot of sense. How can someone in the US open an account in Iraq? You are already there, but is it possible for those of us in the US to do the same? Thanks, Le’a
You can no longer buy Iraqi Dinars in Canada, not even the currancy exchange will sell or buy the Dinars here in Canada. This to me suggest that the RV of the the Dinar is all a hoax, a way for the public to invest their money in fraud fronted organizations.
How do you go about opening an account from the States? Then transferring the bills to the account?
So if I have dinar in paper form and it RVs, I will be shit out of luck if its not in a bank account somewhere??
I think most people just want to hear the truth. We all understand that there is a significant hype surrounding this potential situation. With any situation, there are going to be different perceptions of which people understand the information they retrieve. At any rate, you should expect a certain amount information to be somewhat slandered and exaggerated. There is no truth without dishonesty and deceit. I guess this is all part of the game… accept if for what it is. Believe half of what you hear and none of what you see. Do your OWN research. Learn something and dare to research things for yourself. I dare you!!!
How many times have I seen predicted dates for when the Dinar will revalue. This is a long term investment at best. I think we have alot of wishful thinkers visiting this site. There are many other profitable investments in the market that will bring a good return now……no waiting!
some of the information that i have heard sounds good, some of it confusing, my conclusion is if this happpens thats a good thing if it does not so be it no one twisted anyones arm to get into this investment, all we can do is wait.
You do not reference the RV or RI in any of your information. Do a little speculation on that please.
Most likely because there is a law in Iraq about transporting their currency and because the risk is too high and once it’s declared worthless, they would be faced with lawsuits!
I bought dinar at the local bank.. 2 months ago,, Now no bank sells it,,
made many calls to other banks, say the same thing, why???
Thet were told to not sell it…
why?
Being registered with the US Treasury is the Law. It does not mean that the seller of the denaris can be trusted, do not be fooled by this! The government does not do background checks or anything else to review these sellers, simply require anyone selling money to fill out and submit a registration form, all who submit receive the same letter, there is no approval.
Before buying these denaris, check with the U S Treasury to make sure where you are purchasing from is certified to sell these currencies. If the government has approved, there should be nothing to worry about. There is a real, and there is also a not real. For someone to sell these dinars and they are not authorized is fraud and criminal with penalty of imprisonment. Thank about that.
Your points are well thought out and very valid. However, in the last week there has been much ado about Greece, the Euro and their bailout. Some Gurus have predicted that RV day for the dinar is imminent. What does your information say?
I think the dinar will revalue after the Election . I think Obama will use it to his advantage.
you can have your money back anytime ebay dealers buy it hsbc buy it and sell whats the problem
Think about it this way, will confederate money be used in the U.S. again.
Yet another story along with a promised reval date. Do you realize how many such dates have come and gone so far? At least 50!
My name is Mike and I currently work for the Hilton Salt Lake City Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. I have been following the Dinar for several years and own 1000000 Iraqi dinar. I have for the past couple days been taking a large amount of reservations from some very wealthy people and a few have filled me in on what is going down. From what I have been told, the Dinar will revalue on November 1st and the first place in the nation to cash in will be Salt Lake City. Even the Ball room has been reserved. Bank of America down the road is where they are meeting. I will update more once I get more info.
no they will not because when Iraq released the new notes they recalled the old ones. a collector might want them but they are not worth anything in the banking community.
What are the chances that the Dinar will rise in value to meet the value of the oil reserves in Iraq? Do you have a guarantee that the Current Dinar will be used as the future currency , once Iraq starts pumping oil?
kindly tell when will the iraqi dinar shoot-up or rise, their economy will improve.
Thanks for the update. Keep them coming. Since you have purchased some yourself– now with your objective lense whats your take on the government being launched into a stronger working economy- bringing the dollar up in value. THnks.
In case anyone got confused I was using this unrelated matter to make fun of the BS you read on many of the Dinar Information sites. It could easily be said that this weeks RV is being held up by a re-vote over the EU currency support. Buy more there is still time !
Aprox.when will the dinar go international?
Hello All,
I have read some of these comments and I must say, when I first learned of the Dinar investment, I was leery of it myself. I am currently in Iraq working for the Military and I hear different stuff all of the time. Here are a few things that I have come up with since I’ve been here.
(1) Iraqi Dinar is only good if you use it in Iraq, simply because it’s not on the exchange market at this time.
(2) Iraq’s oil currently goes to Kuwait to be refined, but that is subject to change very soon, as the Chinese and Australians are investing in rebuilding the structure of their oil production. Refineries are being build in Iraq as we speak by both of these countries, to eliminate the use of Kuwait to get their oil refined and “useable”, or whatever you want to call it.
(3) There is talk of a revaluation of the currency, simply because there are too many zero’s in their current notes. I have seen some true statements here.
For example…. If the elimination of zeros happen, then it would affect the worth of your money as well. Say you have 25,000 Dinar and they drop a zero. Now your 25,000 dollar note will be a 2,500 Dinar note. This does not mean you’ve just made money. This only means that the number of zeros are gone, but it’s still worth the same as it was when you paid for it, it’s just missing a zero. For instance… I bought 3, 200, 000 Dinar which cost me around 2800 USD. If the notes do not get revalued and the Dinar eventually goes 1 USD to 1IQD, then yes, I’ve just turned 2800 USD into 3, 200, 000 USD. However, even if a zero is dropped and they eventually reach 1 to 1, then I’ve still made 320, 000 USD off of 2800 USD, provided the IQD starts trading on the international level. No one is going to cry over that. All together, it cost me roughly 3000 USD to purchase and deposit 3.2 million dinar into an Iraqi bank. You definitely don’t want to just purchase the Dinar and keep it in your hand.
If a revaluation does occur, then your paper dinar is worthless. If this situation turns out to what is being speculated, you want to have that money in an account as numbers, not notes. Here is the trick. As of now, the 3.2 million dinar I have is exactly what it looks like…. 3.2 million dinar. If this revaluation occurs (dropping a zero) then the amount of zeros in my account changes too. So now I have 320,000 dinar as compared to 3.2 million. Either way you look at it, this could turn out to be a good thing for anyone investing.
Here’s what I’ve done to make sure that I make money regardless off whether the IQD gets internationally traded or not, provided it reaches a 1 to 1 or .50 to 1 or whatever it eventually becomes. I personally opened an account with the Bank of Baghdad and set up a USD account and an IQD account. In the case that this hyperinflation does happen, and the IQD is viewed as being worth as much as 1 USD, all I have to do is exchange the money within that account. An Iraqi bank will definitely buy it’s Dinar back, and give you whatever it’s worth in the currency you wish to have. Most likely, if the Dinar does what people want it to do, then it will become an international currency. This same type of hyperinflation happened in Kuwait with their Dinar, and it did indeed make people very rich, but over a period of time, it definitely didn’t happen over night. However, Kuwaits situation is a little bit different, considering they had the economic structure that Iraq didn’t, before either of the wars.
My outlook on the whole thing is……….. I would probably end up spending 3000 dollars on stuff that just sits around my house over a 5, 10, 15, or even 20 year period that has no potential to make me any money. With any investment you take a risk, and this is exactly what it is. You could loose, you could break even, or you could win. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket hoping that this will make you a multimillionaire. Spend enough that you’re comfortable loosing, but enough that if it ever does what we want it to do, that you wouldn’t be disappointed that you didn’t buy more than what you actually did.
As a note………….. One thing that raised my interest in this, is the fact that at one time this currency could be bought online, but you cannot purchase it anymore, unless an individual sells it to you. It is said that the reason the currency isn’t sold online anymore, is because Donald Trump was buying way too much of it.
If there is one man that knows what to do with money, it is Donald Trump. Yeah, he’s filed bankruptcy many times, but he’s remained rich the entire time. Someone else has paid for everything he owns, and he still has a shit ton of money in his bank account. Think about it.
people dreaming, i don’t no what will going to happen after US troops withdrawn from IRAQ, after WAR economic changes so people be careful makes less investment
rest ALLAH KAREEM
i bought some dinar and i sure wish i had my money back. sincerly, wd scott
Will the old bills with Saddam’s photo on them ever be worth anything?
I went to all of the major banks in my city of San Diego, California and I found out that they are NOT allowed to sell or exchange the Iraqi dinar, due to the conflict in the Middle East. At best, I would have to go to the airport, to a duty free bank and then when I cash in my dinar, I need to bring a wheel barrow with me and plenty of security. If the Central Banks who control our world currencies do not support the dinar, then what makes us think they will, all of a sudden. WAKE UP AMERICA.
I have read all that everyone has to say, and i have tried to keep an open mind, but has anyone gotten any true facts? I mean, yes this is a risk just like anything else. I thought that I would be less confused about investing and taking that risk, by seeing what other people have done. In my opinion( and that is all it is), everyone is putting everyone else down, and not saying anything that is really relavent. So I am taking a very small risk, just to see if this investment plays out. This is my very first investment. I have to say that I am not sure if I am doing the right thing or not. But, oh well, here goes nothing.
I say the same thing .. If you play the Lottery whats the difference. A $1 a day 365 days a year . Now how long have you played the Lotto for Notto
It sounds like the dinar is waste of time, why buy a book to tell me much more. You made up my mind screw the dinar play and I’ll just stick with my penny stock plays. Thanks for the heads up!
A 93 year old friend of mine called to say that he could get $100,000 Iraq Dinars for $104.00 US from Walmart, and that Iraq was putting out a new currency in a few days, and it was coming out at 3%, 8% or 16% and if it came out at $16% I could get $160,000 US so go and buy them now immediately so you can get in on the deal.
Is this true, and he said walmart bank people were telling him this in North Carolina.
Is he being scammed by the bank employees just to sell dollars to an old fool?
well i sold those diners, after ten day wait to see if nat west(uk) would buy them i got £983.00 (23.sept.2011) for 2 million dinar i purchased six year
ago at £1000.00,i am glad ive got them of my hands,i would like to wish everyone the very best with what ever they do,& may there be a gentle breeze on your backs with warmth of sun to be felt on your face whilest traveling through life.
any good news about this dinar
Just to beat the rumor mill. The Dinar was all set to RV today. We would have been very wealthy over night. Unfortunately “the one who shall not be named” in charge of Iran spoke such a torrent of anti-Semitic, anti US garbage that the UN general assembly pretty much left and went home. Iraq’s RV will have to wait for another meeting. We were so close. Now everyone rush out while there is still time and buy some more Iraqi Dinar.
That is the problem right there! You are making it sound like the iraqi dinar is going to make you rich, or at least a lot of money, and that it’s just a matter of time. There IS NO GUARANTEE you’ll make even a dollar. Make that clear when you are painting those pretty pictures of financial freedom!
people go to the casino and blow there life savings away what wrong with $500.00 that can change your life even if its take 30years to make $900,000.00 for your kids are grandkids to have something latter ? If you dont have a $100 to invest you really need some help!
Listen, I too am a iraqi dinar investor, but I need to educate you on how this works so you at least have the correct information. If there is a revaluation, you don’t turn into a millionaire overnight the money has to be exchanged to be revalued. Basically, you drop the zeros. The only way this investment will pan out is if the iraqi economy gets better, period.
Now, I for one think that is still happen once iraq becomes part of the WTO. IF you don’t know, iraq currently doesn’t sell what oil it does have, on the open market. It sells it through an intermediary I.e Jordan and Kuwait. Once the currency is open traded through the IMF (which it currently isn’t) and iraqi becomes a member of the WTO ( which it currently isn’t) the IQD won’t be worth squat.
So what am I saying? I’m saying that this is a highly speculative investment that has a long term horizon, like 10-30 years, if ever. Just keep that in mind and do want you wish with your money. I have about 2000 dollars in this and if I lose it, then it’s no big deal for me. if this is your nest egg then you are making a mistake. Good luck to all of you and please arm yourself with the facts. There are some haters on here who are wrong, but also some overly optimistic people who are similarly misguided. best egg
2 Main facts. Iraq has to become a member of the World Trade Organization and their currency has to be openly traded in the International Monetary Fund. Neither of which currently occur. Until such time IQD’s will be close to worthless.
Also, for those of you that think an RV means you are rich overnight, you clearly don’t understand how this process works! Please, Please, educate yourself before you invest. I will not tell you not to because there are merits for this type of investment, however, Magic elf’s don’t appear and make you a millionaire, there is a process. If you point to Kuwaiti Dinars as an example, that is different circumstance all together. Their currency wasn’t reinvented!
Trouble is pound & dollar at not set by gold or silver standards. We see “before the war it would cost you x amount of pounds or dollars to purchase one dinar”. So we think yeah good investment buy some NEW dinars,by the time they revalue we will all be good. But what we don’t see or realize at the time is before the troubles in Iraq & Libya that these places were debt free, imf free, working to oil standard & gold standard dinars, hence it would be fair to say yes we would have to pay through the nose to buy iraqi dinars before the troubles.
But we got new iraqi dinars the imf got there finger in the pie, pound note & us dollar are not set by gold or silver standards,if we look at western banking system there standard of value for the pound & dollar is debt based,To keep you working to pay them, hence the saying “their making sure they get their pound of flesh”,i truly cant see the western banking system allowing to Iraq & Libya set the value of dinar buy gold/oil standard.can you?……
You will be surprised – Once the dinar revalues the banks will be coming out of the bushes and into the light to set up your accounts. Money in hand speaks louder than the promise of money. Something I very much believe will happen.
hello baz, i purchased 2 million dinar about six year ago for $1,000 off from eBay, as needs must, i am shifting mine through nat west down here in the south of England, they have offered me £960.00!? about a week ago with 7 to 10 day wait to exchange, so i’ve gone with the flow as needs must left my dinars with them n wot not waiting for the k.o, i reckon the bank will do all right out of the interest for a few weeks while they decide weather to go for it???????
What exactly would America stand to gain or lose if the RV were to occur?
I have invested a small amont and only bought 40,000 dinar. I figure that I blow more USD at Walmart on junk than I did on my dinar and even if it only RV’s 1 USD to 1 Dinar that’s still a good profit. Heck even if it RV’s .50USD to 1Dinar I’ll make a profit.
I recently heard about the Iraqi Dinar for the first time via a conference call for privacy, asset protection and taxes. I was surprised to hear how many people have gotten involved and invested in this currency. The conference call quickly turned into a question and answer period about setting up bank accounts for Dinar only, what banks to use etc.
My question is: Is there a “Top Ten” list of the most reputable companies to buy the Dinar? and; If or when will they REVALUE the Dinar and what would be the ROI ?
Kind Regards,
Dennis Scott
I purchased some Iraqi Dinar a few years ago and I have phoned every bank here in Canada and they won’t even touch it,even the bank I bought it from.Do you know of any place that I would be able to cash it in once it rv’s?
Thankyou for any help you can provide
Mark k
I work at a bank in Texas and have foreign currency exchange. In the past 5 months high demand of the ordering of Iraqi Dinar took in affect. Our exchange ordering is simple and easy. It is legal and trusted obviously through my bank. My own branch manager told us in August that the Iraqi Dinar is a possible investment, and that our bank who deals with a third party who processes the foreign currency.
I see it as an investment due to Iraq’s growing economy which is on the news, the high dollar value of oil Iraq has which is in the news, and how this week on the news they speak of how in the next two to the three years they want to drop the 3 zeros, yet increase the value of the dinar for their economy to boost, and that they want to have the value of their dollar equal to or above the Kuwaite dinar which is now around $3.68 or so to the US dollar. I have myself invested in dinar, it’s a risk.
If it happens then great, if not than I tried, but with everything on the news and the way the country is growing I do see a huge possibility of the value of the dinar to most likely increase! I am hopeful, but not going to get on here and bash anyone for how they feel about this, nor talk down to others like many of you have. There’s no point in that, I am going off of what the news says, and I am optimistic.
There has never been a real rate. Stop trying to trick people into buying this over priced toilet paper. This currency is a scam and many people are losing their hard earned money because they listen to speculators like you.
When the Dinar RV’s it is likely only to be a dropping of zero’s. Instead of costing 10,000 dinar for a loaf of bread it will cost 10 Dinar. New Currency will be printed. Your old Dinars will need to be exchanged for new Dinars. This is what happened in Mexico. Given the way Dinar trade works the exchangers will likely be profiting in making the transaction for you. In other words you will lose value in an RV.
Profit in the Dinar rest primarily in Iraq’s economic strength and future outlook relative to the USD. (For those of us that bought with USD)
Dinar Profit, contrary to popular myth, is not going to happen because of a Bush – Obama – IMF – OPEC WTO, Kuwait, etc….. conspiracy. You will make lots of money on the Dinar if, and only if, the USD shrinks in value, or through some strange event Iraq becomes an economic super power. (Not to bash the EU but you guys might see profit sooner).
Investing in the Dinar with USD is simply a bet that Iraq’s economic outlook, growth and value in the world economy are better than the USA’s.
With that said. Iraq has lots of promise and lots of oil, over a long period and given continued stability in the region Dinar should grow in value compared to USD. Of course you could also bet the US economy would collapse thus make your $ 1000 Dinar investment worth Millions. But then if this occurs you’d be better off to have invested and stocked up on beans and rice.
Hey RB,
What was the name of the bank in Texas you bought the iraqi dinar from?
I have 250,000 dinar bought at a local bank in Texas no problem getting it and as stated above I also was told that i could sell it back.
There’s alot of articles coming up that many can say means one thing when it really means something else. This could be due to translation issues or optimism. Either way you slice this investment there are two contants:
1. NEVER spend money you DO NOT have or can’t afford to lose and
2. the current 1170:1 rate was ARTIFICIALLY placed on this currency along with the country’s sanctions.
This was NEVER the real rate nor the country’s intention to operate under this rate until forced to do so. As full restoration occurs, the real rate will show, whether $.01, $1, $3 or however much it is. But staying grounded with just those two FACTS is good enough for me.
I bought 500,000 dinars yesterday from a high street bank in northern England for £300 with no charges. The staff didn’t seem to know much about this momentous revaluation event and there were no comments at all about handing over such a strange currency apart from wishing me a nice time in Iraq. Anyhow I was issued with a letter from the bank stating that they would buy back from me any unused currency after my holiday. (At it’s future value of course) So I haven’t lost any money in this “scam”
Do not gamble/ invest with scared money or money you cannot afford to loose.
No, there is nothing that backs up their theory.
And yes, DinarTrade stopped selling dinars. Reason I heard was because the owner received death threats. Kind if makes ya think that it’s a racket and you have one organization pushing out the other – kinda like a mafia movie.
Dealers are making money alright, check out securities.arkansas.gov/!userfiles/Consent%20Order%20C-11-0205-11-OR02.pdf and it shows DinarTrade making over $10 million per year selling this stuff. That kinda money attracts trouble!
I own Dinar. However, I also recognize that I am a risk taker when it comes to investing-and this investment is not one that has dented my finances in the least.
But seriously, can ANYONE offer a single legitimate verifiable reference that backs up their theory? I have yet to come across a single verifiable reference. The only ones making money are those selling Dinar to the rest of the fool hearty and speculative, ‘wanna be’ investors.
FYI – Dinar Trade.com which was one of the larger traders that I am aware of, shut down their business this summer. Go ahead and speculate the reasoning behind that!
which bank do you work for. our bank in denver says it is illegal and it is a hoax. i would love to have their phone number and not even tell them where i got it.
Over the last several years I bought nine million at roughly ten thousand total spent. If i turned it back to the bank I would lose about two thousand bucks at this time . Much better than the stock market has treated me. I do not really know if it will RV at $3.60 or at all but I look at it like a lottery ticket. You never know and to win, one must spend a buck or two on a ticket. What I do know is things seem to be escalating up in favor of an RV. There are big bucks to be made here and anywhere there is big money the government is working diligently to steal it oops I mean take it oops I mean tax it oops I mean make it happen to their advantage if not it won’t happen. If the government can turn it to their favor, I will be satisfied with what ever percentage I can get. I don’t like getting ripped off but it’s the only game in town.
Hey bill, Steve Martin’s quote “Excuse me, teacher, may I mambo dogface to the banana patch?” doesn’t apply here and we’re not kids. This is serious and the dinar will revalue, it is just a matter of time.
May I mamo to the banana patch?
Nobody can predict what will happen. What’s the point of stating it will or it won’t happen? I will be what it will be. If you could predict what will happen, then you wouldn’t be on this site making any predictions, you would be out enjoying your millions of $ you’ve already made through you past investment predictions.
Darn Tim…it’s August 23rd 2011, still no RV. By the way, which month/year, and particularly, which Tuesday and Wednesday (1st week, second week…etc?) are you refering to?
help me decide, will the dinar revaluate or not and should I invest?
Amen, totally agree!
You definetly sound like someone who bought them here and didn’t buy them in country and bring them back with you. A quick note EVERY SINGLE COUNTRY on the Arabia penninsula has and exchange rate of their Dinars or Ryals is the same througnout the region. Using dinars as an example the peninsula countries exchange for 1 dinar for $3 to $4 each.
For example: Kuwait is over $3 to one Dinar. Qatar is just under $4 to one Riyal (forgot how to spell those). The whole region is $3 to $4 per one of there currency (dinars, Riyals, etc… whatever they use in each country).
Iraq was always trading their Dinar in sink with the rest of the region before the Kuwait invasion which dropped it to 1 to 1 in the dinar to dollar ratio. The innasion by the US blew it up because it changed the currency and linked its value to the US dollar.
That’s also what I heard. Well as what rumor’s said. But I believe the UST does. If the US dollar goes down don’t worry about it. Our currency is actually considered high compared to the other countries. It would be better if our currency went low because that would mean more business with countries overseas. AND if our currency is cut in half and the RV happens that would create a possibility of having more money (if the US currency increased in value again).
Soon and more than any stock in our country.,
Probably because their hands are tied and cant say anything. It would create a mad rush to buy Dinar. And do you think our govenment wants us to have a shot of getting wealthy.
If O was smart he would do like Iraq is going to do, they are giving every citizen a monthly piece of the pie…. dinar every month becasue the oil belongs to the people. BTW Kiwait has been doing that all along.
But if O wants to get relected he should send every household 1 25k dinar note and let them cash it in when it revalues… imagine receiving one and finding out it could be worth $25k-$50k or more tax free… would you vote for that person.
I just bought 250,000 IQD. I thought that it was harmless. I mean, it’s ok. If there’s profit, I’ll be happy of course! If it happens to be a hoax, then it’s fine. Nothing much to lose actually unless if I invest in like US$100,000 or more.
Its amazing reading all these posts… people are certain that it will or will not happen. No one backs their opinion up with anything even remotely substantial and their statements are littered with spelling errors. Its really hard to take you serious.
Your ebook was great!!!!!!!!
I found eight locations in Houston, TX for FNB. From which one did you buy the iraqi dinar? Thanks
When is the iraqi dinar going to revalue???
We have misjudged the Arabs for years, and if you think we can control what their rulings boddies will do, good luck. I really don’t see where thasy wsnt to let outsiders make money, they certainly haven’t in the past. Heck we cannot even control our stock mardet or our elected officials. My investment banker with US Bank just says its your money, no I will not advise you to buy or not to buy. To much turomoil for me to feel anybody has a handle on this. If it looks to good to be true, well you know. Lee
The news has covered this numerous times, the federal government has warnings about the iraqi dinar and the BBB has big large warnings next to any company dealing in this currency. Ask yourself, where did you, or your friend, get information that the US is holding all that currency? It was from a forum owned by a dinar dealer wasn’t it? You won’t find it in any government publication that’s for sure!
A very good friend convinced me to buy Iraqi Dinar and, at this writing, I have no idea if it will be a good return on the dollar or not but investing is a gamble.
I will say this though, the average American has no clue about the Dinar as our media does not even cover this type of investment but, if it turns-out to be a hoax, it will be front page headlines.
I have been informed that our own US Treasury has billions of Iraqi Dinar and if the US Treasury is sitting on these bills than maybe they just know somthing we don’t – think about it.
Also, the US dollar will no longer be the reserve currency of the world by the end of 2011 so hang on to your wallet because, if that happens, our dollar value will be cut in half!
It’s completely safe to buy from eBay as long as the person selling the dinar has a long history and has been awarded “Top Seller” but I don’t have much faith in the revaluation.
I would have been more than happy to use us bank, but me being so eager & stuck in stuck in england,At the time i could lay my hands on dinars the
only source was ebay dealer,i could not source any through banks in uk!
Luckly on my big purchase i done a face to face deal no worrys there.
But got turned over by one messer on ebay, thankfully it was only a couple pound.
If banks US banks have the Iraqi dinar, why would I go to a dealer to buy them? Would it not be safer just to use a US bank?
Doesn’t the currency market work like the stock market? Doesn’t it work on the idea of supply and demand? The more the supply and less the demand, lower the price. My question is , what happens if the revaluation of the dinar goes through and everyone cashes in their dinars, wont there be a greater supply than demand and wont the value of the dinar fall? Just a thought.
Well you were risky enough to buy these things so take your medicine
That is exactly right. The dollar is in a virtual free fall these days, pushed off a cliff by the Federal Reserve. You can also see the global money war in the CURRENCY market, where the U.S. dollar is losing value day in and day out. Heck, it’s dropping virtually nonstop against currencies that were once laughing stocks of the foreign exchange world, including the Russian ruble … the Mexican peso … and the Turkish lira.
Other world leaders are screaming in favor of the US Dollar becoming the second world currency, not the first! The bottom line, as our dollar falls, it is highly probably the Dinar will revalue. A Manager at Chase Bank shared at the end of July they got a letter from corporate that the Dinar was set for RV and that it was apparently going to be announced world wide shortly after. What shortly after means, who knows.
The bottom line, for those individuals who had a few extra dollars laying around and were willing to gamble with it, if they bought Dinar and become millionaires all the people who did not buy and called those of us who did (I own 1,000,000) crazy, they will be like dogs walking with their tails between their legs. If it doesn’t, well I took yet another gamble. I’m agreeing with the Religious Profit Clement, it is going to happen soon!
save your money…. take your wife on a trip…..
I purchased 2 million new iraqi dinar, some time ago for £1000.00 pounds.
ive been looking around in order to sell them as needs must! & found website(uk)
selling 1 million dinar for £789.00 pounds aprox, happy days get in there!
I think this will get me out of the jam am in,so i click on sell dinar?
Their offer for 1 million dinar is £400.47 pounds (ref;11-08-2011,time 2.59am).
So after picking myself of the floor & takeing a few pills left wondering do they do a cream for it!?.
so if i was to shift my 2 million new iraqi dinar to these people, it would turn out i would be just under 2 ton (£200.00) lighter in ones pocket.
Consider this; website selling 1 million new iraqi dinar for £789.00,buying from joe public at price of £400.47 for 1 million niqd, the diffrence is £388.53 .
Now thats a big mark up,thats not taken into account bulk buys of iraqi diners purchased by dealers,One thing for sure is i wasnt exspecting to see 20% loss if was to trade in my dinars now after coughing up £1000.00 & sitting on them year in & year out,The question i find asking myself,Is todays prices over inflated for what it should be? yes. I would not buy anymore, not at these prices,i reckon i be lucky to get me grand back at these rates!.
my concluesion is this; IF i keep hold of my dinars my main aim was for 40% profit but takeing in to account 20% loss to date hopefully ill be up between £1120.00 to £1400.00, If am lucky!?,i know that for sure it wont be millions of pounds.
But at the moment i cant help but think the dealers are doing a “pump n dump”
Why has no major news source picked up the story of all you soon to be millionaires from your investments in the dinar?
hang in their paul you wan’t be dissapointed. but you may get mad at yourself for not buying more.
The most sensible info that I have found so far, and so great research tools.
The bottom line is, this is not a short quick return investment as some of my friends have tried to persuade me to believe.
“Knowledge is King”
If you have money buy more. I bought 400,000.00 iraqi dinar for $510 off ebay.. then yesterday bought 250,000.00 and 50,000 more today.. i have 700,000.00 dinar and have about $900.00 invested (didn’t wanna buy from any site).. Its slot of money even for me I am in college, but whats to say it wont turn into 700K… plus If worst comes to worse there is always ebay to sell on.
When and how much ?
Why don’t I open a savings account with the Central Bank of Iraq? Gain the 4 % in intrest along with the posablity of an RV with the Dinar. That would be a win and maybe a bigger WIN if the RV really does happen.
1st National Bank in Houston, Tx sells them. Theyr’e legal. I just bought 1,5000,000 last week.
ok , im just a simple hard working guy with a good brain, i think. what i’d like to know or understand further is there really gona be a rv on the dinar and if so it would almost have to come in at like 1.86 us to barely achieve what its supposed to by my limited knowledge and brain power. am i retarded to think that or am i sorta right or do i need to shut the heck up ? anybody ?
I have 5000.000 in dinar should i buy more ?
I’m in agreement with them I have allways felt like that the Iraq Dinars was a good investment and I still feel the same, and thank you for that encouragement.
what banks sell dinar????, in PA. I just want to go in and purchase a small amount at a time. Looked on line, but do not really trust alot of the sites out there. Thanks.
I have invested. I have also been caught up in the hype. this was before I did my research on the dinar revaluation. Think about it, the brokers that sell us this money are getting rich off of our dream. They have nothing to loose.
If the dinar was to revalue, and I was a broker, I wouldn’t sell anything. Not if the value was going to be what everyone thinks. I would hold on to it. But if I hold on to a couple million, just in case and sell the rest. Either way, by the time they get through selling to us dinar dreams, they will be rich. I doubt it very much if 1 dinar will ever be 1000 times 1 American dollar. That makes Iraq the super power. Naw I don’t think so. Not gone happen.
They will change the denomination and 25000 will be 25 iraqi dinar. if it match dollar to dollar to usd. that’s 25 dollars. If so happens it rv, 3 to 1. that’s $75 to us $25. that’s bout as good as it’s gone get. sorry folks. I to was a dreamer. put my kids through collage. put them back a couple hundred thou, that sound nice. Also was a dream of money. much much more, but face it, it will be a miracle if things happen like we are dreaming for.
stockbrokers are NOT always right, i don’t care if you have 50 years!
For those that believe in religious prophets, Kim Clement has made a prophectic claim that the Dinar will re-evaluate. As to when or how much, he was not Blessed with that information. Only that for a long time it was nothing, nothing, nothing, and then suddenly something.
He provided the prophecy on June 29, 2011. He also made a prophetic claim that Osama would be caught this year a while back before it happened and that occurred. We’ve been to one of his prophetic readings and have been a follower of his readings for some time now. He’s been very prophectic and knowledgeable so I give him the benefit of the doubt. And I feel in my heart as I did years ago when I bought my Dinar that it would be worth the investment one day.
I’m being patient and waiting on the time when it will occur. The Lord Blesses His children and I feel this is one more way to be blessed.
Jujubee, I hate to tell you this, but your eyes are not green, you’re glasses are. I however, do not have green glasses on and know in my heart that the dinar will NOT revalue and this is a waste of money.
we all have opinions, just like other body parts. it boils down to what you feel inside, there is not a solid footing to stand on here, cept that in my gut, I know, it will revalue. not if, when. that is my opinion. what is it based on, nothing concrete, like most things in life. those that are afraid to trust in things you cannot see or feel or hear are who they are. and the risk takers who jump into things are who they are. its paper…..and in my world, I am not sitting around worrying yay or nay. I know, like my eyes are green that it WILL happen. Doesnt matter when. It will. Blessings to you all!
so am i being ripped off now if on august 1st i spend 1,000u.s. to buy this
Is the publics constant demand and sudden urgency to obtain dinar based on facts released my the government or is word of mouth playing a huge factor in this ?
Nope, I sold my dinar back for a significant profit….It’s simply supply and demand. Even if the revalue doesn’t come, you can make money by buying it in bulk and selling individually like any other item. It’s just another fair form of business. Dinar is a risk, and it is worth it. I have some stocked away, but I’ve already made back what I spent by reselling.

I can see a re-denomination of the currency, followed by a run on the dollar to its rightful place of $3.20 / 1ID, so we will likely triple our money in the long run, and likely be obligated to exchange our old notes for new without the much mentioned “three-zeros.”
This is not the panorama I envisioned when I put my money where my mouth was with regards to the war in Iraq being a good thing in the long run.
I hoped (and still do) that the dinar would rv even if only to 100 ID to $1.00, and that my $800 might turn into a cool ten-grand, but I’ve read so many naysayers and devil’s advocates in this thread that I’m lowering the bar.
It would be great, not only for the thousands of OIF vets who purchased the Dinar at 3000 to 1 but for the US Economy. If the Dinar would go 1 to 1 us Debts would all but be eliminated if the us anounced 14 Trillion of the 40+ trillion that exist on the world market. Ahhh life would truly be good again, even better than the Clinton years we all enjoyed until the BJ incident:)
I agree Jerry. What’s the harm in having dropped $800 on a million dinars back in 2003? Certainly would have been better dumped into gold, but there is still a chance this dinar dog hunts after all, and the down side is totally tolerable.
Guys I know lose more than that on football games every week. Sheeez.
Gus
I think this whole thing is nothing but a bunch of false hopes and the only people making money are dealers. It smells like a scam.
I bought IQD (1 mil) in 2/2011. So fare nothing! Dealers bs nothing more. We visit Iraq in may (business trip) now I will never do such a foolish investment! Iraq has far way to go to some RV (worth investment) will be made. Don’t be fool!
Your bank sells Iraqi Dinar? Please, which bank is that??
RJ
So July has come and almost gone and everyone is still here holding the bag….. do yourselves a favor…… take what little money that you have extra and enjoy your lives….. stop giving it to the con artists who sell this toilet paper…… this crap is never going to bring you anything except poverty…. life is short, enjoy it.
That’s how the dealers make their money David, they put out a date and predict it will revalue, then when it doesn’t, they give some wild story why and how they heard of a new date that is guaranteed to rv. Read all the predictions on this page and you’ll see a ton of rv dates that have come and gone! Sorry you fell for the last one!
JULY 1st has come and gone……..i bought some, in hopes it is RV but i am beginning to think it wont happen.
You say that it will revalue as if you know this for sure. This is NOT guaranteed to happen!
You say that Donald Trump invested in Iraqi dinar. This has been proven a lie to promote the dinar.
You say that Oil is going to make it happen. It has been proven this does NOT mean it will have an impact on the dinar especially since the rights to the oil have already been sold!
You dare compare the Canadian Dollar and Mexican Peso to the Iraqi Dinar, are you serious?
You say you are glad people don’t think like you because it leaves more money for you. Fact is, it’s people like you who lose all their money on such poor odds that make people like us supplement your life through welfare, food stamps, medical and more. Your foolishness creates problems for the rest of us.
Please, do us a favor and ask yourself why the big players are NOT buying this stuff up. You know why? Because it’s not going to happen, it’s a poor investment and you should be paying your bills rather than gambling!!!
Well I am glad you are not my broker. the IQD will revalue at some point, question is when?
Second or the third largest oil reserves in the world. world runs on it. and it won’t stop anytime soon. with people like Donald Trump invested in it. along with large corporations. I am on board, and am glad you don’t believe. means more for the ones that do when the time comes. no one believed in the Canadian dollar or Mexican peso either. and look what happened to both.both related to oil. Go Iraq. and Go Dinar!
I like to think I will end up being richer than the next man. I have invested in dinar, 20,000,000. I have other investments as well. Time will tell, I might be eating fillet steak and lobster if it comes in, or hotdogs and beans if it dosen’t.
Isn’t the relatively small investment worth the risk?
Is it true that there is a possibility that the revaluation of the Dinar could result in a very big profit?
Is it any different than investing in the stock market ……which is as ridiculous as the Iraqi Dinar?
thanks,
Jerry
That is such a broad statement! Nobody could ever distinguish your reasons for buying it so how can it be considered illegal? You cant tell somebody they did something illegal because you know they did it “in hopes” of revaluation.
If I buy dinar ( another currency ) how could I lose 100% of my money? that is just a dumb statement!!!! you must have work in the mail room that whole time.
Thank you for providing clarity.
Firstly, let me say Hello to all, and that I as others have said all along that the Dinar is a speculation. No one who is telling you the truth would call this a investment, but a very good chance to make some money. But your uncle’s mother’s brother’s cousin could not possibly know anything. They don’t know themselves, so how could anyone else.
uh you seem to have spread another rumor,it is now july 18 and Im searching for the official news of a RV and all I find is people like you claiming to have some inside guy saying it happened. And all of the inside guys dates and times seem to be expired.Just saying where is the official statement which is verifiable? Don’t find it anywhere.
cheers mate.
Hi to one and all. I have just read this quote with a varied amount of interest. As of Writing, I can still buy 1,000,000 IQD for £783. I have heard positive things this week, but still not sure about it all. I did have 2,000,000 IQD at one point, but sold them at a loss. Is there any further news on the revaluation?
Cheers Chaps
Wayne,
You couldn’t be more right! But, I hope that more people think the Dinar is worthless, so I can keep buying it before it becomes worth something again!!! The U.S. Treasury is holding trillions of Dinar! They need it to come back! And, I’m sure our government will make sure it does. But, to everybody else…stay away from the Dinar! I want to buy as much as I can while it’s cheap!
Hi Jakie,
Buying iraq’s currency in hopes of a dinar revaluation is not illegal, where did you get that?
If its illegal then why is the bank that i work at selling the dinar? I’m pretty sure it’s legal…
Simon,
Don’t buy that tropical island trip ticket just yet!
It’s now the 14th of July 2011. And?????
Hi Ron,
You can simply cut and paste the code I have listed here – that’s all you need for the converter to work.
The dinar revaluation is simple
i look at it 3 ways:
1) you make a heck of a lot of money
2) you break even minus broker fee
3) you lose the money your willing to invest
Guess that didn’t happen.
Please send me your currency converter. Thanks
I was a stockbroker in Anderson S.C. for 20 years. I am telling you, this is a scam! Whatever you invest; You will loose 100% of your money!
How long would I have to exchange my dinar if they lop off a couple of zeros? Would I have to trade my 25000 note for a 25 note immediately, or can I do it in 5 years
why am I not able to print your report??? Also, you do not mention that FOREX is doing a big promotion on the Dinar, Why?thankyou
ooops, I guess the tribe was WRONG…AGAIN!
Wow! It is amazing how delusional some people are about money!
I have been told by friends that I *MUST* invest in IQD and quickly! for the last three months ~ however, in my research I’m finding only speculation and confusion on what it exactly means to invest in the IQD. I went to two of my banks (large, international banks) and they do not sell IQD! Reason: “It’s too unstable.” They won’t exchange it or send $ wires there, either.
So, there are only two things to consider in my mind…
or
Still researching, but not finding what I’d like to see before feeling comfortable about investing any amount of money. Are there any other international monies that are a sure investment? With our USD possibly hitting rock bottom in the near future? This is a serious question. ?
So why hasn’t the dinar revalued yet
According to the locals here in the IZ the RV is done!
There are big celebrations going on and everyone is saying that Iraq is once again the Powerful Nation that it once was before the US led Invasion and that the new government should be praised for bring the country back from the ruins of war. I was told by a local business and tribal leader that I deal with almost on a daily basis that the announcement to the world was coming tomorrow the 30th, and the new RV value will go into effect tomorrow @ midnight so on the 1st of July the Dinar will finally be valued where it should have been all along. They are saying that the Ministry of Finance has leaked out that the Dinar will be RV’d at 1.27 IQD to 1.00 EUR or 1.83 USD.
For all of your doubters out there you should have bought Dinar when you had the chance. For those of you that did, welcome to the Millionaires Club! I am going to cash some in here, then head to some place tropical and live the good life.
Cheers Mates!
Tim, Tuesday or Wednesday, but what year????
The dinar is really $.35 cents to our dollar? I don’t this that is correct . where do you find these numbers?
Thank you :)
Everyone knows the GOI wants to get the larger notes for 25,000 dinars off the market at some point to make it easier to use the dinar in their country. But, what will happen is the 25,000 dinar notes we are holding will, more than likely, NOT lose value and become 25 dinar notes in the dinar reval.
What will happen is you will be able to exchange your 25,000 dinar note for 25 – $1000. (or smaller) dinar notes. So, you’ll lose no value that way. They just want their citizens using smaller notes. In time, I think they’ll take all the larger notes off the currency market.
Not sure when that will begin or how they’ll go about it. I imagine the banks handling and exchanging dinar notes for USD will have some kind of arrangement with the Central Bank of Iraq to exchange them as their exchanged for USD when that happens. This is why the GOI said they will not lose value for investors.
I don’t think we have anything to worry about in terms of the revaluation. Every investor would definitely think twice about investing in Iraq is their currency lost that much value. Not good for their government.
Let’s see what happens in time. Stay positive everyone.
Robert
the long shot will pay off. If it doesn’t the United States is Toast
For those confused by the idea of dinar revaluation, look at the Mexican peso in 1993. The government issued the “new peso” and all of the old pesos had to be exchanged for new ones at a rate of 1000:1. If you started with 1,000 pesos, you ended up with 1 “new peso” after the exchange. Prices adjusted accordingly. If a fruit basket was for sale for 1,000 pesos, it would cost you 1 “new peso” (identical value). No big deal. It’s just like trading 2 nickels for a dime….still worth ten cents. A period of time was allowed for the peso swaps to take place and eventually the “new” from “new peso” was dropped and it was just called the “peso” again. Why do it? It makes the math and accounting easier. It also can have a positive impact over time because the human mind thinks in relative terms and when we perceive things as too expensive or too cheap, it effects our decision-making.
It’s similar in concept to a reverse stock split for a corporation. People don’t take “cheap” stocks seriously, so a company may (for example) implement a 1 for 10 reverse split. My 1,000 shares originally priced at $3 per share become 100 shares at $30 per share. The original 1,000 shares were worth $3,000 in total. The new 100 shares that replaced them are still worth $3,000 in total, but are just denominated differently. The company is now split into one-tenth as many shares of ownership. Again, just like trading two nickels for a dime.
That being said, could the iraqi dinar go up? Sure. It could go up or down. Unfortunately there is a huge “spread” or price difference between what you or I would pay in the U.S. through a dealer versus what the dealer pays when exchanging $’s for dinar in Iraq and then flying them back here. That differential covers the cost of transport and then the dealer’s profit. If the exchange rate would yield 1,000,000 dinar per $860, for example, you might find dealers charging $1,100 or more for 1,000,000 dinar. That $240 is a 28% markup for the dealer. That means that, ignoring any costs to exchange back to US dollars, the dinar must appreciate 28% for you to break-even.
If the Iraqi economy flourishes and stabilizes and if the demand for business denominated in dinars increases at a faster rate than that of other currencies, then speculation in the dinar could become a profitable. This could take a long time and likely wouldn’t happen over night. It may make sense, if you’re interested, to watch for signs of economic growth and stability in Iraq before putting your money at risk. Hindsight being 20/20, I would rather pay a little more 5-10 years from now when the growth prospects are clearer, than sit on it for 5-10 years with my fingers crossed.
Hey, if you think it sounds like fun, figure out what that fun is worth and have it, just don’t it because you believe the hype.
I hope that provides a useful perspective.
Well Pat, maybe you need to know that if you are a licensed broker you have federal law to follow. Don’t be so quick to talk down to people who chose to invest. BTW, what investment have you made in your life?
@Karen
Your assumption about Iraq’s economy will be destroyed if IQD revalues is incorrect. As the old Chinese proverbs goes, “less talk, less mistake” is I think appropriately applicable to you. How many countries have revalued their currency and destroyed their economy? Do your research and get back to me. Thank you.
what year do you think the Dinar will jump
i dont think this year 2011 Iraqi Dinar rv ,hope wait next couple years .
When you invest in Dinar, your are putting your money into the Iraqi economy. Do you know what their main source for income is, OIL. Has oil been going up or down, who has the most oil of any Nation on the planet earth? Iraq, so someone saying this is a scam is saying their oil is not worth any money, how could that be………………………….
Melissa…you are absolutely right – I totally agree with what you said. The Iraqi Dinar HAS to revalue…in time it will. It could be at ANY time. We just don’t know exactly when they will announce it, but it is going to happen. I think it’s actually naive of the naysayers to think that somehow they have the word when how can they know? They don’t know.
There’s a problem with this country in that people are so negative about anything these days that they can’t believe in even an opportunity such as this one. It’s especially true of the people who are in the middle to lower classes or poorer class. They’ve never experienced an opportunity like this – it just doesn’t happen to them. But, if someone has the money and it’s can be just a few thousand dollars worth of Iraqi dinars – this could mean they’re lives would change in a way like no other chance they’ve had before in their lives.
Investing in the Dinar is better than playing the lottery, quite honestly. And, how many poor to middle class people do that each day or weekly? And, all that you said about keeping people in the middle class tetertottering on the edge of financial distress is so true. How else for politicians to play the middle class so they’ll vote on issues they want to see passed for their own ideological beliefs. Trust me, there’s a lot of manipulation of the middle class – it’s mostly the middle class they use on political issues. The poor and undereducated usually do not vote.
So, I agree with you Melissa – you’re right it’s all about political manipulation, power to manipulate the public so they’ll vote or do the things they want them to think. And, if too many people know about the dinar thing they’d put some sort of roadblock in place so it doesn’t happen. Money is power. I know mostly all of us who have invested in dinars are not politicians, but ordinary people looking for a chance to get out of our accumulated debts. I’m certainly not looking for any political power – that’s obvious. I’m like everyone else – looking for that opportunity to pay off bills, etc. We know why we’re all here.
Also Loadoc, on the Trump “purchase” of dinars…don’t believe rumors started by people awhile ago. A lot of that is just coming from people who like to make up things and have not much else to do, I suppose. But, that’s really just a made-up rumor. Don’t believe that stuff. Get away from believing all the silliness that is usually created by people who are very negative and usually not very well educated on investing and particularly the Iraqi Dinar currency investments.
I wouldn’t put a date on WHEN the dinar will revalue – it will, but I would not believe those dates that people come up with. Just be patient – watch the country’s growth and the time will come when it’s right. I would say don’t predict everyone. Disregard that stuff – hold tight. It will happen.
Also, by they way, I read a comment where someone accused another of a “date of RV” prediction having come and gone, etc. It’s just what I said – don’t believe those predictions – don’t repeat them from some other whacknut either you find on another site (there are a lot of them) and then certainly don’t post it – just be patient folks.
AND – I, myself, am not a seller or any of that junk…I’m the same as you guys….looking for a return on an investment. I’m also a veteran, as well.
I purchased 750,000 for around 800.00 US dollars. Will it revalue? Who the heck knows. For that small gamble,I didn’t want to be a woulda coulda shoulda case.
Yep, the Dinar is probably on someone’s schedule to revalue in December, but the end of the world is scheduled by someone else to end the last part of November. Black is going to be called Green from now on and Red will no longer exist.
Speculate all you want and we’ll be in the same place in a year that we were going to be without all the mindless babble…… one year older.
If the Dinar becomes valuable the I’ll be more valuable, if not then so be it. I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I’m also not willing to take the chance that it will happen without me if it does happen. So, I spent a little just to stay in the game.
If we do happen to hit it big, don’t call me wanting to borrow money, I’m not home.
Still no RV Tim. I’m in for the long haul. Nothing ventured nothing gained.
Well, this was sure an interesting read. And like so many others I to am a investor and say exactly that. If you don’t want risk then don’t take it. If you do then do it that is what investing is all about. What you should do before you invest is research research and research. Also know what you are doing and what you are investing in. Read history on what you are doing and then make your final calculation. As any investor will say it’s a TURKEY SHOOT but to make it more real keep doing your homework. If you can’t deal with the Big Boys then stay out of there backyard and for pet’s sake don’t knock it if you haven’t done it. Yes there are scams and such but that is why you make your decisions and no one else makes them for you. All I know is that when I make a invesment I do it and then have the patience to wait it out no matter how long it takes. So go do your homework and read up on your history.
Nothing to lose and everything to gain.
you all are missing the big pic. it’s not revalue of the dinar we need to look for ….. it’s the devalue of the dollar. If any man seek wisdom, ask the Lord……………
June 8 2011 td bank in new jersey stop selling iraqi dinar, just call them to order a 1,000 dollars worth of dinar and they told me they don’t sell it anymore.
I want to invest in something with a good turn around and CNBC and Wallstreet have covered businesses that are starting to build markets in Iraq. I even saw that the BP oil company is already beginning drilling for oil there. With having seen this information I do tend to believe that the value of the dinar can indeed change.
I found the article very interesting. I have a friend who is a flight attendent and purchase a total of 8 million dinar on various flights over the last 8 years. She called last night because she was told by a Federal Airm Marshall that the Dinar was worth $.35 to our $1. She has been trying to get me to buy but while I can use a good investment to help me recoup the money I lost in the real estate market, that just sounds to “ify”!
still hasn’t RVed Tim. I do believe it will, hopefully at the end of June.
I have not read all the above and I cannot provide proof. I just believe what an insider friend tells me. Yes, there is one person between me and the insider, but this is what I have heard. The insider was at the recent G20 meeting and gave us the encouragement to buy Dinars. So we did. And we are buying as many as week can afford now. According to the insider, the price is set and fixed ad will be publicized soon. How soon, is dependent on some politics that I am familiar with but wont go into here. Anyway, yes there is risk, but calculated. Go ahead and buy just start developing your relationship with the International Dept of a major bank and make sure your Dinars are real. And it does not matter whether it is a revaluation or a New Dinar comes out, you will make more than you put in. Just saying.
I have a hard time believing the 25,000 dinar note will be of same value as a 25 dinar note just the fact of this. Say an Iraqi makes 1.5 million dinars a month ($1,282) and that did happen that $1,282 turns into $1.28 for one months of work and then it revalues to say maybe $3 then that turns into $3.85. I dont believe that will happen just the fact it would cause more chaos then they want or even need. GOI “Oh by the way citizens, we turned you hard earned money to almost nothing but hey, dont worry about it, we made purchasing items and banking easier” HAHA I dont think so. And the whole 2 hours of electricity is BS. I have a friend that lives in Kuwait, I was speaking with her and she told me they have almost a full days worth of power now and even when I served in Iraq the worst was 8 hours alone on electricity. Any how, they can’t and wont LOP it would cause too many issues but the real truth is to set back and just wait and see what happens.
Feel free to make whatever speculations you like. The bottom line is that this investment, like any investment, bears risk. It also bears the potential for gain. People lose money everyday on “investments” in “promising companies” in the good ol US of A. So the bottom line is, the rule of them for ANY investment is that if you can’t afford to lose the money then DON’T INVEST IT! If you do have the liquid capital, then enter at your own risk. There are plenty of idiots who have struck it rich picking the right stock and there are savvy geniuses who have lost big on the wrong one. Your IQ does not determine your success. Some of the most brilliant people are behind bars or dead behind stupid decisions. No need to talk down to others about if they purchase Dinar. YOU make the choice for YOU and leave it at that!
Of course Iraqi Dinar is a gamble what investment is not? The Dinar has gone up, period, and it will continue to go up. The entire world is dependent on oil, PERIOD. Guess what Iraq has, the biggest oil supply in the WORLD, PERIOD! Sooner or later, and I think very soon, it is going to go up allot. The country is getting it together, there were not any public up rising when every other country is in middle east, cause they are FREE now thanks to the good old USA. What you need to be careful of is loser who write article trying to sell what they can make money,on and steering you away from something they cant make a penny on!!!!!!
There is only ONE reasonable need to buy dinar. If you are going to visit or live in Iraq, you would probably need the local currency. So buy it.
But to buy the dinar with the hope of making money from the purchase of the dinar would only prove your lack of intelligence and understanding of financial matters. The Bank of Iraq could not possibly make the dinar more valuable without destroying their economy, so, it just ain’t gonna happen.
If you are interested in actually making a profit and avoiding scams,
then I can tell you how to do it by simply investing $50 or $100 in a safe and trusted financial institution.
Tim,
Tuesday and Wednesday has come and gone. So much for you knowing anything about the Dinar Revaluation! It’s people like you go around trying to push the dinar (you are a dealer are you not?). This is EXACTLY why the dinar has such a bad rap!
You CLAIM that Dr. Shabibi said something, yet you provide no proof. It’s easy to claim what is not true! Just like the dealers CLAIM trump bought a ton of dinars, when in fact, he doesn’t own even one!
I will be back here once it RV’s and I want to see what the naysayers have to say then. Luck? Don’t think so!
I totally agree with you Robert. People have not the slightest clue what is going on around them.
Even Dr. Shabibi, govenor of the CBI (Central Bank of Iraq) said the Iraqi Dinar will go up in value VERY soon. He was at the Chamber of Commerce and said those words; people can even youtube it. How can currency be a scam? The average/ordinary person in the US isn’t supposed to know about this because that means they will have money, they will no longer be stuck in the low to middle class. The world is ALL about money…greed, power and they want the citizens that are working paycheck to paycheck to continue on like that, in misery, no savings, depressed and stressed. An almighty God has led me to this investment and He is going to do BIG things with this money, through me, to help others. I will be helping the unemployed Veterans get back on their feet!
Lopping off 3 zeros doesn’t change how much your money is worth. A LOT of people are making this mistake to believe that when they lop of 3 zeros, their money is worth less. Which is doesn’t. The lopping off 3 zeros is for IRAQ to sustain a stable market.
EXAMPLE (I’m going to use USD because it may be more simple to understand)
Now lets say you have $1,000 USD. Then they ADD 3 zeros to the currency and now you have $1,000,000 USD. Does that make you a millionaire, yes. But your million dollars is worth no more than the thousand dollars you once had.
Look at it this way. Re-denomination lops of 3 zeros for EVERYTHING, not just the money paper. Your $20,000 car is now worth $20. Your $2,000 HDTV is now worth $2. Your bank account of $10,000 is now at $10. It’s just a play with the picture, not the value.
I think people getting caught up in all the speculation that somehow this is a scam are those usually who expected the money of Iraq – the dinar – to revalue right away. People are impatient. You have to understand that this is a real investment – and it requires patience as in any investment you make. It is for real.
To think that Iraq is not going to grow economically is being pretty naive. If you pay attention to the growth happening in that country then you’ll understand that investing in their currency, which is a legitimate investment practice for any country – you’ll realize that, yes, it’s always a gamble. But, in this case what other country has gone through what it’s gone through historically with regards to overthrowing a dictator, war, etc etc – and look at it now.
Do you really think that it is NOT growing or going to be a country with a wealth equal to Saudi Arabia or Kuwait and others? Do you really think it is NOT going to produce one of the world’s most precious commodities on the stock market and stagnate? Really? Of course it it – any thinking person will realize that it’s one of the best currency trading investments you can make – and for little cost.
Of course, if you’re spending your last penny on this then be prepared to wait for the country to continue to grow. It has no way, but up growth-wise. So, you have to think about that. I could go on an on but I’m really interested in beating a dead horse here. I think patience will pay off, and nobody knows exactly when all this will happen – that’s why it’s called speculative investing.
I know for a fact that they have already RV and we will be albe to cash in Tuesday or Wednesday, I feel sorry for all you people who waited on the sidelines!
It is amazing to me the number of people buying dinars. I always ask the same question – Are you sure you want to tie your money up in Dinars?
You are saying that in order to be successful, a person must have perfect spelling and the ability to compose grammatically correct sentences, which is absurd; this is not a requirement for being wealthy, investing in the iraqi dinar or being knowledgeable about the revaluation. It is in fact, a way for you to try to win a debate by focusing attention on something trivial to compensate for your lack of knowledge about the topic at hand.
I agree with Brendan (May 18th post). Who in the world would ever take stock in financial advice given by someone who cannot spell or create a grammatically correct sentence? Not me!
I like your explanation, how are they going to just go and change all of the embasies who have money with them and take away the zeros? You are absolutley right. if they do that they wouldnt get any trade from other areas.
I really Like your post Steven. I JUST got into the iraqi dinar revaluation a couple weeks ago. An installer filled me in on it and I couldn’t pass. I bought 250000 dinar. Since then, I have been Back and forth about if it’s real or not.
If he was a “Scammer”, He was REALLY REALLY Good. He made two phone calls to two people ,on Loud Speaker, who sounded Legit and like they were following Dinar Progress closely. They said Iraq had just seated all 12 seats and it’s Moving in a great direction towards the RV Happening. The Iraq Gov is coming together. They said People from our Gov were over there RIGHT NOW pushing for this to happen. George W. Bush (I Wasn’t a supporter :-p) But in the Beginning of Dessert Storm, He said this war would not cost us anything. He wasn’t talking about oil, He was talking about the U.S. Gov Investing in Dinar…
I didn’t read about this from a fake web site… I heard people Talking. VERY EXCITED People. Yes, Maybe they were excited about the money I just invested if they are pulling one, But it didn’t sound like people excited about a few hundred USD. It sounded like people Excited cause this is REAL and they had A LOT Invested into this new money.
I have been reading and Reading through all these comments and posts and it really sounds to me like, There are two sides. People who Believe, And those who don’t. I Believe. And I believe the Dinar RV is going to happen Very Soon. Why would it not? If the U.S. Has a large New bunch of Millionaire’s, That money is going to Flow through the U.S.’s Veins and the U.S. will thrive! As will other countries. I Know I’m going to Buy Land here in AZ and Start a business, Maybe a New Truck and a few toys?? My Money will flow.
I Believe.
Christian.
Hahaha Chris… That was Hilarious! Hahaha But I don’t think its that big of a gamble. This is going to happen. Question is, What’s going to be the final Number and when? Soon I think. I Know. Haha Good luck with your Lottery
NO MATER WHAT HAPPENS PEOPLE … Don’t be fooled by this as the value of the DINAR will not change either way … READ THE FOLLOWING TO CLARIFY IT CLEARLY FOR YOU …
In 2010, the Central Bank of Iraq announced their plans to redenominate the Iraqi Dinar to ease cash transactions. The intention would be to drop three zeros from the nominal value of bank notes; but the actual value of the dinar would remain unchanged. That would mean that 1,000 IQD (pre-redenomination) and 1 dinar (post-redenomination) would both be worth the same amount in US Dollars. Although the announcement stated that the change would take place by the end of 2010, there has been no redenomination as of January 2011 and no further announcements have been made. As stated by the Central Bank of Iraq, their mandate is to “ensure domestic price stability and foster a stable competitive market based financial system.” For more information about the redenomination, read “Iraq Planning Currency Redenomination.”
Yes! This is a SCAM,
The currency will be re-denominated, NOT revalued!!!
That means that another Dinar will be released, and you will need to exchange your current Dinars for the New Dinar. There will be an exchange rate applied, which will mean you WILL lose money – BADLY.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS MOM AND DAD INVESTORS GETTING RICH QUICKLY. DON’T CHASE GHOSTS. Go and buy a nice dress or suit with your 1,000 dollars, at least you’ll have something to show for it.
Ditto!
Is the entire Dinar craze merely a SCAM period?
Best guess, before june 30th. At .86 to the euro or 1.17.
A lady i work with bought about $250.00 worth (or worthless) dinars and was exclaming how rich she was going to be. When asked how she was put on to such valuable information she stated it came from her 20 year old sons boss. She said he was “pretty smart”. I really hate to be the one that exposes the scam to her.
I would like any information on a predicted RV date
Hey , I really must say you are by far the best person I have seen lay the synopsis of the Dinar on the line
I too was like you , and I rushed and bought the Dinar.
Your breakdown of the numbers makes so much sense
I applaud you for helping people not have ” SUCKER ” stamped on their head !!
BRAVO TO YOU , YOU WILL BE BLESSED!
Rich In North Kakalaakee.
I was one of the lucky ones at the right time and place and purchased my 2million dinar for $800.00 because the person was going through a divorce and needed cash. I put it away for grand kids just in case it ever goes up in value!
I appreciate your views on the iraq dinar and you are right about the price of the dinar being less than you could get on a cd or most other investments; but what you say about the currency not revaluing ; well it may not, but what if it does look at the gain you will make. Now you think there is not much chance of that; but look at the progress iraq has made in the last 8 years; we have moved almost all our troops out and they are getting a goverment in place ;also you must know this has happen before in 1991 in kuwait were do you think the surplus came from when Clinton took office. Do you think history might repeat itself?
you have to be a dreamer to ever truly be successful. that is of course unless mommy and daddy gave it to you.
Send me info on hedging or and purchase of the denair???
Risk assessment and future predictions any and all resources including websites will b helpful
A word to the wise, don’t take financial advice from anyone that can not spell or type a coherent message without a plethora of gramatical errors.
That is a misinformation, Donald Trump DID NOT buy iraqi dinar. Yet another ploy to trick people into thinking there is little risk!
A friend of mine has 1 million of the old dinars, can they still be exchanged for the new ones, and if so, how much in new dinars would he get.
This is exactly what I believe is going to happen…
I am going to wait until the jackpot of the lottery is over $200,000,000.00 then purchase 10 tickets. By doing this I maximize the return on my investment. All I need is 6 little numbers to hit it big. My ROI is $199,999,990.00 I make serious bank. I know you all may think this is ridiculous, but it happens. It has happened many more times than the Dinar has RV’d. Wait! If it happened only once it would be more times than the Dinar has RV’d and it has happened many more times than that. This is my plan to riches. I am going to hit it big. I have seen people on the news picking up those big checks so I know it happens. Once I hit it big I will pitch the networks on my own reality TV show showing me with all my new money. It will be great, you will all get to watch. As stupid as this sounds it is more likely than getting rich on Dinar. Don’t try to confuse me with the odds stuff… I saw a guy in California win it big. That could be me.
Thanks for the information and please keep me informed as to the information id and when the dianri is reevaluated.
Thanks
dit, if you are not in this deal its not really your concern go pick on someone else.
This investment will not make you bancrupt by investing US1,000.00 if things doesn’t happen as expected.
Great ! Another Dit! At least he had made some sence! Chris if you think this will only bring a three time return then better get some and quit bashing.Would be pretty dumb to think you may get back three times your investment and the only thing you did was bash people who invested! LMAO!
Ok Pat, speaking of thinking logically. If i had 2000.00 to spend on dinar but could sell it to someone and make 2200.oo on it then buy even more dinar and do that over and over and over. Thats why u would sell it instead of keeping it all. Make money and buy more!! As far as Chirs goes,Kuait and Iraqs situation is very different. The things I hear people saying Is the same, “Kuwait dinar is a scam” “It will never RV” Its a pipe dream” ECT…….Yet Made many pepole very rich. Now its “Iraq Dinar is a scam” It will never RV” “Its a pipe dream”. All i can say is, there are pepole wishing they had got on the Kuwait dinar train, and soon the Iraq Dinar train. And yes, there is some sights that make false claims as to the Dinar.
I appreciate you report and information on this subject. It sheds light on the risk involved but at the sometime allows us to make our own decision whether to buy or not.
for those who think this is a scam research and you will find Donald TRUMP HISSELF has iraqi dinar and he is not a stupid man. HE DID NOT MAKE HIS MONEY BY MAKING STUPID DECESSIONS…….
Pat,
Very well put!! Finaly a realistic, logical mind here. I find it absolutely ridiculous that after nearly 5 years people are still sucker enough to buy into this pipe dream. Kuait has NOTHING to compare with Iraq. COMPLETELY different situation. I wish they would stop comparing them. The dreamers of a quick buck. There are times when this happens but this isn’t one of them. I just wish I had a dollar for everytime my pals that bought Dinar came in here saying ” I heard the Dinar is going to RV this week, or tomorrow, or I heard it RV’d already” it’s kinda sad really. I don’t know how long it will take them to realize the truth.
Topgun, you are talking about apples and oranges. I already discussed there is no comparison to what happened in Kuait and what happened in Iraq. So everyone needs to stop making comparisons to Kuait. It’s not the same. There is a new government in Iraq and STILL much violence there. Have you heard news of unrest in Kuait? I have not heard of ANY bombings or stories of different groups of muslims that want to take over the government there. The only thing keeping any kind of peace in Iraq is the military presence the US has there. All these investors in Dinar are not going to get rich over this Dinar investment. I think you should go to a local bank and tell them you want to borrow a couple hundred thousand against your windfall you will see as soon as the Dinar RV’s and see how much they want to give. I have some co-workers that come in here every day talking about what they are going to do with all their money as soon as the Dinar rv’s, and they have been for two years now. I hate to be a dream dasher but it isn’t going to happen the way you think. I hope it does, but it won’t. At best you may see a three time return on your investment. Not bad, but not the rate you think it will be.
Thanks for the Dinar RV insight. It brings light into the dark!
How do you determine how much brokers fee will apply? What if you purchase your dinars from a bank, are there broker’s fees involved
Do most of you buy these dinars with your ebt cards?
How many dinar’s do you own to the publishers of this site? Also it’s sounds like this was a good plan by Bin Laden to get America broke. All my Christian relatives are in and have bought. I’ll just wait! Because if they hit it big great. But my good sense is going to watch on this one. Sorry dreamers! This one is way to good to be true.
Ok my smart friends…. I have a question….. If the RV was guaranteed to happen and everyone was going to get rich, why would anyone be selling any dinar? Wouldn’t all the dealers hold the dinar until this magical rv? The broker fees would be a joke compared to the millions they would make off of all of their dinar. Why don’t any of you think logically? Everyone keeps calling it a guarantee, but the the only guarantee is that you are all getting ripped off. Save all of your, “look at Kuwait” comments…. different situation…… save your money, because from what I can see, only people who can’t afford it are buying this over priced toilet paper
Did not happen. More speculation and false hopes of a quick buck. If this is the case you could find the exchange rate from the banks in Iraq. Sorry to be a downer but it’s not going to make millionaires out of those that invested in the Dinar. If this was the case you wouldn’t be able to find a Dinar anywhere.
Don’t you think the smart investment minds in the world that have the money to buy up billions of Dinar would have already done so? It is still available on many sites. It’s not going to RV anytime soon. When and if it does it will be after the decimal is moved. Any gains you see will be minimal especially after the money exchangers get their cut. They are the ones keeping this going. They keep making money every time someone buys Dinar and sells Dinar.
If it were really going to RV soon you wouldn’t be able to pry a single Dinar out of their fists. Hey it’s ok to dream, but be realistic and don’t spend your gains before you have them.
Tell that to the millionaires that invested in kuwait dinar.People said same ol to them and now millionaires. Please research before posting.

This is exactly what I believe is going to happen…
The U.S. made a deal with Iraq to trade them all of the iraqi dinars in the country for a LOT of oil from. It seems dumb but is smart. The U.S. Treasury and Iraq has already opened up the 2 banks in the U.S. that will be doing this huge trade. The U.S. will then buy all the Iraqi dinar from all the people who lives in the U.S for an opening price of $1.17 for each Iraq dinar to get all the “suckers” out the way then raise the price to around 3-4 dollers per Iraq dinar to then pay off all the patient people.
Then after all this is done the U.S. made a deal with Iraq a long time ago that once the money is RVed and the price is released, they will promise to wait 6 mouths before the do any kind of tradeing. “During the 6 mouths the U.S. will be busy buying all the Iraq dinar from all the people in the country”. After the 6 mouths is up the U.S. will do a simple computer transcation and all billions and billions of Iraq dinar will be transfered to the Iraq back.
Then with all the money they have left over they will probably just burn it. Then Iraq will give them Lots and Lots of barrels of oil to the U.S. but what Iraq does not know is if you put it into calcuations and with them paying for all the Iraq dinar, there really getting each barrel of oil from Iraq for only $30 dollars a barrel!! Thats a big difference from there usual $90 dollars a barrel. So lets put this in math terms.
If the U.S. buy’s $10,000,000,000 Iraq dinars for $2 a Dinar then they would have spent $20,000,000,000 dollars. Then they will swap that will iraq for $666,666,666 barrles of oil. (for $30 dollars a barrel). Then of course the smart ass U.S. will then sell $666,666,666 barrles of oil to all the U.S. oil companies (Cheveron, Exxon) For the same origional $90 a barrel with will equal $60,000,000,000 dollars !!! that means after alllllll this the people will be rich. Iraq will be stabel and the U.S will see $40,000,000,000 dollars on there invesenment :), But lets be realestic. Theres going to be alot more money involved, Maybe in the trillions. This was just a small display. Thanks for reading !.
Seriously, There are hundreds possibly thousands of posts on here about wild a– speculation over what everyone thinks the Dinar will do. This has been going on for 5 YEARS now and the ONLY people making bank on this are the people keeping this pipe dream alive, the brokers that are selling Dinar for a fee.
As long as man has been alive they have been suckers for a quick buck. Same thing is going on here. All you nay sayers that want to try to keep the dream alive and want to bash the people with any sense of reality are just hoping for dreams that will not happen. 5 years ago they were saying the same thing and it still hasn’t happened. What happened in Kuwait has no comparison to Iraq.
The government that was ran out of the country by Saddam is back in place, and was as soon as the Iraqi’s left the country. Not the case here. Totally new government. What WILL happen is the decimal point will be moved before any revaluation. It would cost the Iraqi government TRILLIONS not to do so.
The decimal point will be moved, you will not loose value but will have so many days to exchange the larger bills for the newer smaller notes, your 25 will be worth what your 25,000 was worth it will be a one for one exchange no gain no loss. However you will have to pay some broker an exchange fee % which will cut into your potential gain. Then and only then will any revaluation will occur.
If (and this is a big IF) it revalues at pre-war levels of $3 US dollars and change you will still be set to gain around $3 US for every Dinar. No the things dreams are made of unless you want to buy a truck full of Dinar. Keep in mind the $3 gain will not really be $3. There will be broker fees associated with both the exchange of the notes twice. Once to get the latest Dinar and again when you finally cash in. You will make some money but not Millions. As far as man has advanced his judgment is still clouded by GREED.
The only people that will make out big are the brokers. And you can take that to the bank!
It seems clear to me no one really knows what is going to happen with the diner RV-I have heard that the diner RV has already happened in Iraq last Thursday, but is being held up by the US. I have heard diner revalued at 4.43 and should be announced within 48 hrs. Has anyone else heard this? I just recently invested an affordable amount in diners, but am not holding my breath, patience is the key here. This is a risky investment, only invest what you can afford to loose. It will at least give people a chance, and the way the world economy is now, we need
To take all the chances we can afford.
Sheila, doesn’t know as much as she would have you believe, not about currency. A redenomination and a revaluation is something that would happen near simultaneously. Or else, if you did not revalue, you would have a massive amount of cash in open market which would create massive inflation. Then you would be back where you started. Redenominating a currency without revaluing would do… Nothing. Except cause more problems.
So when the redenomination happens the revalue happens. They will print the new denominations (i.e. 25 dinar, 10 dinar, 5 dinar, what have you) and your 25ooo dinar note will be worth, 25000 dinars and your 25 dinar note will be worth 25 dinar. If you have 1,000,000 dinar after the redenomiation you will have 1,000,000 dinar.
The stuff Sheila is talking about has never happened in currency history. No one would trust a currency or a country that when you hand them 1,000,000 whatever, they say to you, “No, actually you only handed me 1000″. No one would ever do business with that entity again.
So think about this… This revaluation isn’t decided by the Iraqis. The WTO, IMF, and BIS all play a role in deciding the value of a currency that is traded on the open market. The whole world is in a economic depression and this will help to elevate it. America spent more than a trillion dollars in Iraq in security alone. Do you really think that was charity? America will get their money back. And oil is not Iraqs only commodity. Iraq is not just a barren wasteland like some other Arab countries. It’s agriculture rivaled it oil production post UN sanctions.
There are a lot of misguided people just talking on the Internet. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. And just repeating what I said does not count as research. Don’t repeat a word I wrote until you found the proof of it yourself. I can write what I wrote in confidence cause of my research and personal experience. And I traded all the Iraqi dinar I traded in confidence because of MY research. DO YOURS.
I also live in the mid-east so there has never been any mark up for the dinar I’ve exchanged. Well no more than what is needed for the exchange shops to stay in business. Key is, learn how currencies work and how past revaluation happened.
Well said. Thank you.
I too have made money on my investment. I bought my IQD (2.7 mil) at the Kuwait Airport and the Fahahil district of Kuwait from money exchangers when it was first printed sometime around 2004. That investment cost me roughly $1,600. Currently that 2.7 mil is worth somewhere between $2,200 and $2,300.00. I’m continuing to hold on to it as I doubt it will decrease in value but anything’s possible and if it does then I’ll have some expensive wallpaper. I’ll just have to buy more to complete my dining room. But to all; the reason I bought it is because I could afford it and didn’t want to be placed in a position where I would someday say that “I wish I would’ve”. A little advice, if you decide to invest in the IQD don’t let any of these forums influence your decision (for or against) as they are only speculation. As with any investment only spend what you are able to afford and don’t put all your eggs in one basket. There will always be doubters and people not willing to take risks, but if they knew as much as they claim they know they’d all be Microsoft, Apple, and Google rich now wouldn’t they?
Other thing I don’t understand is this (1) spread and the fee, if you want to cash in. The fee could be from 1% to 10% and the spread could be as high at 30%…Why? I would just send it back to Iraq, Kuwait or somewhere in the Mid east to trade.
(2) what do they mean by only giving a person 60 to 90 days to cash the larger denominations and then the smaller denominations become more valuable? Is this meant to say they will do away with the larger denominations? If so I’d just deposit all in a CBI account. Then how would it be handled as a large bill or a small bill?
ok I bit and bought 2 mil d’s but IF i lose it its only money that I didn’t need. BUt I did buy because I believe in what we are doing in the area. Also I happen to have a friend who works for the Iraq finance dept and rumor has it that it will hit the Forex in August 2011
be positive brothers and sisters, China holding the most Iraqi Dinars, they not stupid, don’t listen to whom posted all the negative opinion, i am holding 30mils dinar, if they decrease the value not the big deal, work harder to make it back, if they increase the value will get me and my family out of J.O.B. don’t invested the money you can’t afford to loose…just holding hand together be positive about our investment. don’t listen to the one called them self smart end. !!!!!!!
Many of you have know idea what you are talking about. You have zero knowledge of currency, much less RI/RV.
Stick to your passbook accounts and continue to wonder why you never move forward in your financial life.
The re-institute of Iraq dinar and moving to a oil based currency, is for the most part a multinational effort.
Before anyone comments, put time in research in the economic policies of middle east countries and other oil producing nations.
Thank you kindly for your information. Through the urging of a friend, I bought some Iraq Dinars. Any additional information you may have will be appreciated.
Thank you,
Pastor Charles J. Briscoe
If you looked at the scam section, its companies that have tried to sell the old denominations rather the newly printed currency printed by England and Canada. The currency has more anti-forgery water marks and prints embedded into the bills than our currency. I have personally seen and talked to top investors that invested a fare amount of money into this. The Iraqi economy will be bolstered by the 3rd largest oil fields and 2nd largest gas deposits. The Iraqi Dinar has been their before and it will rise to the levels that it was once at again.
Are all of you considering buying into this completely insane? I bet many of you fell for Nigerian scams as well? Do the United States a favor, spend your money in the u.s. and stimulate our economy!
Very informative article. I recently learned about all this from an elderly client who told me she decided to invest in this and I should too. As I was typing “Iraqi dinar” in Google it immediately suggested “scam” in the search results.
Everyone needs to stop talking about it…. In life you make moves sometimes that works for you. I dont know if the value is going to go up 3 dollars but some say that you get money but not even close to being rich.
Soo everything stop with this b.s and make sure you guys keep your day jobs..
The way I understand it is…Say the first rv happens at .00086 by taking the 3 zeros off its now .83 so 1,000,000 dinar is now worth 860,000. Will be given a time frame to cash in 30 60 90 days. Then they will rv again and maybe again until they hit around 3+. The only people who will do well with the other rv’s are the people that have dinar with the lower dinar. 10 50 250 notes. notes with 1-2 zeros.
Sorry for the redundant inquiry about the $3.00 exchange valuation. Wrote it and then read! Now it begins to compute. Still, what is the status of their debt and government requirements before they can enjoy the value of their currency or smart cards?
Thanks again.
nancy
Already hold 100,000 circulated Dinars, but in mint condition — thankfully.
That is about all I am inclined to purchase. Having traveled internationally for 18 years and exchanged currencies all over the world, where is this blow-out conversion rate of $3.00 or even $6.00 per US coming from? It simply does not compute for me and I need to know the origin of such a magnificent quote! Is there a form of initial and private/contractual conversion rate that applies before the public RV? Mind you, even if it hits par with the U.S.$, or even more the GBP or Euro, it is a whopping gain.
Also, what is the economic and political status now in Iraq? Have they satisfied their obligations to Kuwait? Others? How stable is everything, per the CEntral Bank of Iraq and World Bank.
Thank you
Nancy
They are going to keep the lower denom in circulation like 50, 250, 500 and remove the notes with 3 0′s. Would the 500 note now be .05 USD, I think not. Who knows what they will do, but deflating the currency is not one of them.
People insist on misunderstanding the three ways to manipulate the zeros.
What we are supposedly looking at with the IQD is “b)” and then “c)”… demonetization is not the same, nor is it in anyway necessarily related to a redenomination, or a revaluation…
Can someone explain revaluation and more importantly, “lopping” off zeros ? If someone bought 1,000,000 Dinar…by lopping and once the revaluation takes place your holdings of 1,000,000 Dinar may only be 1000 Dinar by lopping off 3 zeroes? So if you have a 1,ooo,ooo.00 in Iraqi Dinar currency in different denominations, they can by revaluation/lopping reduce your holding of said cuuency to 1,000 Dinar
I’m so hoping that my investment pays off and makes all my dreams come true. I have so many things I want and I will help so many people if only history repeats itself. I have 2 million and an revaluation of just .02 would get me 20,000, still enough to make a difference.
Gary, spend a half hour and do some simple research….look to see how much the money was worth before the war(in Iraq). You’ll see it was worth that only in Iraq. Dont take peoples word for it,because your setting your self up for misinformation. LOOK IT UP! You’ll answer your own question.
All the talk of rv is basically removing 3 zeros.
I have 2M IQD. After taking the zeros off, the value would be $2,000. Now, the only hope then is that they then raise the value to $3.00+ per IQD. My dinar would go to $6,000 +… not the $6,000,000+ that everyone is hoping for.
So, good roi? yes, if it happens the way I’ve laid out.
And…, we will either all be very rich, be a little richer, or be a little poorer. Only time will tell. When someone says “they think”, “they heard”, “it’s supposed to”, or anything of the sort… well… it’s just pure speculation.
Hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Patience is a virtue my friends.
All investments are a risk, i took a risk and spent enough to have a chance to hit it big.if i lose, big deal! How many people blow a few grand in Vegas over the weekend?why not take a small risk? why argue against Topgun so hard when you don’t even believe you’ll break even? why even waste your time making so many paragraphs why the Dinar is a bad investment? How about this, just butt out. the rest of you take what ever chance you can afford. I passed up the kuwaitt thing and wished i had taken a small chance. If you want to avoid criticism: say nothing, do nothing, be nothing! no disrespect dit, you have some good points just let people take a small gamble, buy some yourself just for a kick who knows maybe Christ will return next month. just have a good time and be kind to each other.
If this RV happens does that mean everyone living in Iraq becomes a millionare?
Dit, I told myself I wasn’t going to reply to you any more. But couldn’t help myself. Can you state some facts for once? You go off on 4/29 saying if it rv’s and there is a lop (lol) and it 1-1 we break even and bla bla bla… then your off with your mathematics.
Whether you’re an investor or a basher, saying what you think will happen will happen or think you know whats going to happen is crap! No one knows, so all the figures mean NOTHING!! Whats funny is you’re not an investor in Iraqi Dinar yet you’re calling banks and brokers, ect….. and making many posts here for what? Are you practicing for a debate team or just like to bash? Either way you put a lot of time in with nothing to gain! don’t get it. Hope when we make money with this, you stick around for the I told ya soo’s !
Dennis, Nice to hear someone has done their homework, I wish you well and all of those who have invested, I am invested as well and in my opinion, we are close.
What is a Lop, where did it come from? I have ask banks and investment people to difine this in the currency market. They have no clue where it came from. Maybe Joe’s hot dog stand.
If RV happens, which option? Are we going to gain? What would be the option they adopt that can make us losing
Oh I said I was done posting, but I’ll give you and your sister lee one more shot at understanding in this one reply. Stevie, you had it right in your first paragraph then went off the rails when you decided to go car shopping. You were correct in understanding that your current 1000 dinar when the redenomination comes and lops off the three zeros will become 1 dinar. with the RV on a par with the US dollar your 1 dinar will now be worth 1US dollar, the same as your current 1000 is worth. No gain, no loss.
Nobody’s stealing from you. (you don’t get to keep your 1000 dinar and make it worth $1000.00 US, sorry it just does not work that way) Nobody has short changed you, your buying power has not changed all that has changes is that your new bill will say 1 dinar instead of 1000 dinar thus the term redenomination. The same will happen with with your 500,000 dinar that you paid $500.00 US for. It will become 500 dinar after the redenomination and lopping off the three zeros.
Since the RV will be on a par with the US dollar your 500 dinar will be worth $500.00 US dollars, the same as your 500,000 dinar was worth before. What will happen when this is announced is that all the existing currency ie the 25000 dinar, the 10000 dinar etc will be called in and exchanged for 25 dinar, 10 dinar etc. you will probably have something like 6 months to exchange in your “old bills” for the new bills. After the six months the “old bills ( the ones you currently have) will become worthless. So I would suggest you exchange your existing bills for the new lower denomination ones so as not to end up with nothing. Heres the rub.
You will have to either fly to Iraq to exchange the larger bills, ie the 25000 dinar for the new redenominated bills ie the 25 dinar or you will have to visit a broker to exchange them for you. My guess is your broker will charge 15% to 25% to make the exchange, just my guess. FYI There are currently what is considered the old bills and the current bills. The old bills are the ones with Saddams picture on them, they are worthless. Then you have the current bills, the ones you have and then there will be a newer set of bills, the ones with the 25 dinar, 10 dinar etc. when they redenominate. At this point I would refer to your current bills as the old bills and the yet unprinted ones as the new bills. Your other examples seem like rambling and have nothing to do with what we are talking about.
As for lee yea I do mean a literal removal of the zeros. The bill in your pocket right now that says 25000 dinar will have to be brought in to a broker and exchanged for a new bill saying 25 dinar on it. If you refuse to give it up that will be your loss as in say 6 months from the redenomination and RV it will become worthless if not exchanged. Now when you look at your Iraqi money it will literally say 25, not 25000. It will be worth $25.00 US just like your current 25000 dinar is worth, again no gain, no loss.
Yes lee your 1000000 dinar will become 1000 dinar and will be valued at roughly $1000.00 US just as your 1000000 dinar is valued at roughly $1000.00 US. You will not have your million dinar valued at one million dollars US. Like it or not this is how I see it all playing out. I know you guys would like to see a RV with no lopping and turn your $500.00 US and $1000.00 US respective int MILLIONS, but don’t hold your breath on that one. you gotta be realistic in your expectations. As always Good Luck with your investment.
I know what you mean that this kind of investment sounds to good to be true. And maybe it is who knows? I can’t tell the future. But what I do know is the numbers and value. I’m not putting my dreams on this investment. I didn’t take out every single penny out of my bank to invest in this. I invested what I could afford to invest. Right now I hold half a million dinar. That’s it. $500 bucks that I spent and can afford to lose. I could buy more but I have more important things to spend money on like my bills and etc. But if you want to think logically, then lets think logically.
Logically, the Iraq government is going to get better. Logically, their currency is going to go up. It’s not going to go down. It’s not going to stay the same. It may take a while to go up but that’s fine. 10, 20, 50 years I don’t care. I’m not knees deep in this investment. (If you read what I replied further down we won’t have to get into another discussion about the RV, Redenomination, the currency, and etc.) Logically, I am losing $500 if this investment goes bad and I have $500 to lose anyway so no biggy. Logically, I am investing in a once in a life time opportunity.
I don’t know what will happen with the RV. But you sure like to talk like you know what will happen.
The banks stopped selling IQD last week. I don’t know what that means but it looks like a good thing for us that do have some dinar. The banks are still willing to buy any dinar that people are willing to sell. So that’s another reason it may be good. I think my my logic is pretty good. I feel at ease where I’m at. I’m not hoping or wishing, and I’m still doing my own thing. But don’t bash on us for investing. We don’t bash on you because you aren’t? And it’s not like you have some hard evidence that this investment isn’t going to work out. Wait until the RV and then you have to right to bash on any of us, IF you are right.
Okay so from my understanding you said that when they take away 3 zeros from the dinar. The Dinar will be worth 3 zeros less? BEFORE the RV? Then comes the RV (say 1 = 1) and say my 1,000 IQD turns into 1 IQD which only gets me $1 USD when I trade it in? Then That’s like stealing money if they were to do that. Take this for example.
You have $100,000 USD in your bank. Then they take away 3 zeros for a redenomination (RD means you change the meaning of the paper that shows the money rate, not the value of the money itself). So you now have $100 in your bank. Is that $100 still worth as much as that $100,000? It better damn still be worth that much or else the government just stole your money. When there is a redenomination, the numbers just change, not the value.
Another example. (In USD)
Say a car costs $1,000. You have $1,000,000. Then comes a RD taking away 3 zeros. Now you have $1,000. Does that car still cost $1,000 or $1? It better damn well cost $1 because before I could buy a thousand cars and now I can only buy 1?!?!?!
I think I have proven my point.
Oh and just FYI. These Iraqi bills that are 1,000/10,000/25,000/50,000/100,000? ARE THE NEW BILLS. I think you are mistaking the older bills that have the same numbers with the new ones.
Dit, u are clearly a misinformed. To say the removal of three zero’s equates my million dinar to a thousand reiterates my point of you being incorrect. it does not mean the literal removal of three zeros of the denomination i carry as that denomination is in my hands. when u hold 1000 US dollars u hold 1000 US dollars! Got it?
As stated.. showing how much small notes are. If i was selling them i wouldnt be making a big deal about the cost. As always taking what i say adding or changing my words to suit you! And Yes 3.00+ go back and read why. then go back and read again!
I think I am done here. I will sit back and read replys, but will have no further comments. I have said all I think I can say and have made my points several times over in responce to others statements. Good, bad or indifferent invest if you must, but my final words are KEEP YOUR EXPECTATIONS REALISTIC AND DON”T CARTE BLANCHE BUY INTO ALL THE HYPE!!!!! and as always Good Luck whatever you decide.
Yes if someone invested $30,000 US back then they may have made a million, but you for example with investing your$2100.00 US would have made about $75,000. Mind you thats not bad, not bad at all, but the average person reading these posts probably aren’t investing more than a grand if that. So they would not have made millions. And that’s at 36 times the investment. Now many are hoping for over 3000 times the investment to make a million, probably not gonna happen. But you are right that the Kuwait investment would have been a great one. It’s just the Iraq situation is different than the Kuwait situation was. People try and refer back to Kuwait and use it as justification for an Iraq investment not realizing that the two can not be compared as apples to apples, therefore faulty conclusions are drawn leading some to invest with lofty expectations. Too bad, but Good Luck!
Its an investment. That is it. If you cant afford to play the game then don’t. Iraq is in the process of building 25 new power plants 25 more are up for contractors bid. 20 new oil plants are in the final stages of being rebuilt, and commercial traffic is starting to open up. This was never supposed to be a get rich quick affair, but if you stick it out in a few years it will defiantly pay off. If investing was easy then everyone would be rich. Iraq is not going anywhere and the US gov is not going to let them fall any further than they already are. We as in the US have invested way to many lives and way to much time and money into Iraq to let them fail now.
According to my research you will loose somewhere between 40% and 60% when you try and sell it back. So it will cost you more like $800.00 to $1200.00 in loss, not $300.00. That may not mmake any difference to you , but I think others should be aware that the costs to sell back are more than your quoting. Of course you don’t have to take my word. All I did was call a few banks and Foreign Exchang outlets, you can so the same in your area.
Just keeping you all informed. Just checked with my local 5th 3rd Bank. They have stopped selling Dinar, but will re purchase it. Re-purchase will be roughly what you paid less 60%. Yes I was actually surprised that it would be that much.
The bank manager was not sure if they would only purchase diner that they had sold to you or if they would buy any dinar, he would have to check and since I have none to sell I did not ask him to go to the effort of checking.
My guess is only if they sold it to you as they probably keep serial numbers and would want to make sure it is not counterfeit. Not sure on that, just a guess. So just be aware that your shot will cost you between 40% and 60 % if you decide to sell back depending on where you can re-sell.
For anyone interested I just checked with my local Foreign Currency Exchange and they do deal in the Iraqi Dinar. For you to buy 100,000 Dinar your cost $128.00 including all fees. For you to sell 100,000 Dinar they pay $77.00 including their fees. you loose $51.00. If you want to “Take a Shot” Then be prepared to loose about 40% if your investment if it does not pan out.
One dinar is currently worth less than 1/10th of a penny. To jump to 1 dinar equaling 10 cents is asking your investment to jump over 100 times, not 100% but 100 times. Hey if it went to 2/10ths of a cent you would have a 100% return on your investment. Not bad, but you could hardly retire. The ROI you are looking for is unreasonable by anyones standard. And some are looking for it to RV at $3.22. Can you do the math on what % return that would be. I think it is somewhere around three thousand five hundred % (3500%) Bernie Madoff never offered those returns, but Good Luck!
Hey dit,
Topgun’s original comment included a website link that sent visitors to competing site. That link was removed and modified.
Far too often we get competing sites that think they can slide in a link to grab traffic; I don’t feel this was the case with Topgun, however, such links are removed.
It didn’t go un -noticed that you put in a little plug for going to the “Purchase Dinar” link on this website. Little Pump and Dump action?? I don’t know, but I now wonder if you have an interest in this website and are possibly a Dinar Broker trying to unload??? Just Wondering??
I own Dinar and purchased it with Silvers thinking in mind. If they drop the zero’s and then RV my investment would triple. Your 1000 dollar note is worth 1 dollar after they drop the zero’s and they RV at 3 dollars. I make 2 dollars for every dollar invested. I will take 3 to 1 on any and all investments. This way the investment seems realistic. Anything more would just be a Blessing.
Are you suggesting a straight RV at $3.00 US or above as a likely outcome? A bit higher than the .10 US, but I just wanted to ask for clarification? Thanks
Exactly when was that Mike? And what was the price you bought it at?
Everyone knows Iraq has been grabbing up all the large denoms for a year and a half now. They now are using Smart Cards. There a way to be able to provide extra cash without having to print it. It helps get rid of the large notes. Iraq, when they begun this, had 27 trillion; they want 30 billion in notes and at the 3.00+ rate so any policy to get rid of paper and add value is what they are doing.
They can’t insert the lower denominations into the market without releasing the RI/RV because they will be worthless and a waste. Top economics gurus say if Dinar RV happens, it has to at happen at 3.00+ or it won’t work. Any thing below is to unstable and nd would take to long to rise as demands of oil increases.
Re denomination doesn’t mean moving decimal by three places to the left. Less paper more value, very easy to follow. What is RI/RV? RI they re instate the Id value 3.22 and we pay no taxes. RV on the other hand means revalue a rate change so that we pay taxes on the gains.
I think after revaluation we will have 6 months to cash in our dinar. Then we’ll see yet another revaluation at even higher rates. The only people that will do well with the other RV’s are the ones who have the smaller notes. But look to see how much they are. (see the Buy Iraqi Dinar section of this site).
The US has 4 trillion dinar you and me and the dinar community 1 trillion. When we cash in our upper notes in, they will retire them…Well those notes have value so the value is passed onto lower notes with 1-2 zeros. Does Iraq have enough reserves to support the currency out of country with that need to run the country without a LOP?
Iraq will not have to pay for the dinar outside of country, they use oil. Our government wont spend 100% of our dinar, they will use its value to prop up the dollar. So we cash in and US turns it into oil.
I see some people talking about the presidential order expiring and if it changes anything. “Answer”… NO, because the dinar used to be sanctioned, it is no longer sanctioned, just the value is being held down…so under no sanction you don’t need a presidential order.
I’ve got to run so here’s my bottom line. They are talking large notes out of “IRAQ”. Now either your a investor or a doubter, I know this is happening for a fact!! They cant insert lower denominations into the market without releasing the RI/RV because they will be worthless and a waste. People will need a wheel-barrel full of money to simply buy a loaf of bread!
Good luck to all !
I’m not sure what you mean by being caught off guard. I certainly don’t want that to happen to me! Could you explain that a little more? Best regards. TJ
I bought dinar when it was 1/2 the price it is now, I already doubled my money. What are you talking about?…………………..
Really! You are thinking about a 400,000 pound return on a 100 pound investment. WOW!! Better chance of option 2 happening. Probably should be thinking about what you are going to do with the 90 pounds when you cash out. I mean given those two possibilities what do you think is really going to happen?? Be Honest! Anyway your broker is happy.
Dinar revaluation will happen and when it does you’ll be caught off guard.
That’s how works.
Believe it.
Topgun, I will put you on the spot. If you had to make a prediction and the correct prediction would win you $5000,000.00 Five Million US dollars would you say the diner will RV at .10 or above netting your $200,000.00 on you $2100.00 investment or that you will end up loosing about $300.00 in broker fees when the lopping happens and your $2100 is still worth $2100. Which do you think will happen. Not what you want, but what you think. Remember your $5,000,000.00 prize in on the line!
topgun You talk like “even a .10″ is a small move. Do you realize that lets say for the sake of round numbers 1000 dinar is now worth a dollar, 100 dinar is now worth a dime, 10 dinar is now worth a penny and 1 dinar is now worth one tenth of a penny. So a move from one tenth of a penny to “ONLY 10 CENTS is an unbelirvable jump, astromomical!! Those are the kind of jumps that one can only dream of. That’s why I say there are a lot of dreamers out there expecting these fantastic increases in wealth, based on hope and not reality. Dream if you must, but recognize that it is a dream akin to a lottery. Dream about what might be, what could be, but don’t actually believe your going to see these returns and please don’t spend it in anticipation. Also we both know that the dinar is really 1169 to the dollar not 1000 to the dollar so your wish for a move to 10 cents is even a larger increase than my example. BUT as always Good Luck!
I don’t think even Bernie Madoff was offering his clients that type of return. Let’s face it a move from 1 Dinar going from 1/10th of a cent to 2/10th’s of a cent would double its value, a 100%return. What % increase are you looking for to get your $200,000.00 on a $2100.00 investment???? A DREAM OF A RETURN!!
I caught the missing zeros on this reply too, but really Topgun “I’m looking for $200,000.00 on my $2100.00 investment” . Does that not sound just a bit wishfull? Just a tad??? , a wee bit on the high side?? , a bit over the top??, just slightly ever so much? Come on now put your real thinking cap on and be honest!!
And you are only looking for .10 Not that you need to answer for the others , but I’ve had people state $3.22 up to $6 and change. One even eluded to $9 and change, but then admitted that $9 might be too high. YA THINK!!!
Topgun. With that logic if you are looking for an investment with hugh upside potential and only a fixed $25.00 downside then I suggest you look into my dit dollars. I mean if you want to buy a DREAM then I am offering the dream of 5000 billion US dollars next week when the RV will happen. If it doesn’t then you are only out 25 bucks but that 25 bucks did buy you a week of being the richest human on the planet. Best to do it now as the closer to the RV we get the less dream time you will have if the announcement comes that the RV didn’t happen.
P.S 3.22 ? I said if it Rv’s at .10 my 2100 is now 200,000
With out a doubt you are correct.. Sanctions, no import or export of there riches. Not member of WTO. Debt. inflation. money not being exchange on open market. Thats the reason for currency so low not like kuwait. Now research all the above mentioned and see how things have changed or are a foot step away from change . You’ll see the very things that took the currency down, FIXED will bring it back.IMO still best of luck!
Sorry to here about your loss, however doesnt apply to all investments. People like you spuded same thing over and over then people made millions off kuwait dinar. Now the same thing is happening here… end of story….!!200 on my 2100 investment ? better read again. Im not looking to make 200.00. lmao. you missed 3 zeros 200,000+ unless you loped my statement lol.
You’re not really going to try and push that example are you topgun? Ok, so let’s run with your example and you make $200 on your $2,100 investment, you still have to take out the fees you spent to get the dinar along with the fees charged for selling the dinar and guess what, you’re in the hole!
To answer your question, it’s all of the above, 70 parts fantasy, 20 parts greed and 10 parts dreams making the entire concoction a lethal dose of bad investment advice!
If this was all such a great deal, you would be hard pressed to find any dinar as big investors, banks and other organizations would be buying it up like crazy. That’s not happening and it’s the dealers feeding people like you, topgun, the false hopes that cause you to believe, buy and in the end cry.
People don’t like to take such risks by themselves, but if they can convince others to make the same investment and it doesn’t pan out, they’ll feel better knowing they are not the only one that fell for the scam.
There is a snake that tried to convince my grandmother to invest her savings in the iraqi dinar and after doing research, I found it to be the worst investment out there. I was almost too late. Ask any Series 7 financial investor and you’ll learn what a bad investment this really is!
Everyone knows Iraq has been grabbing up all the large denoms for a year and a half now. They now are using Smart Cards. There a way to be able to provide extra cash without having to print it. Good luck to all !
OK! If someone said you can spend 2100.00 on Iraqi dinar. And “if”" it RV’s just .10 not 3.22 (a low ball figure) .10 you would make 200.000 in returns. And if it “dont RV and you cash it back in your out say 300.00 dollors. Is that GREED,a Fantacy or Dreaming? Or is it an investment with alot more gain than loss.
Every investment is a gamble… look at peoples 401k. Bet thousands lost “Alot” more than 300.00 with nowhere near the possible gains. As low as the Dinar is, and looking at the hole picture ( the lifting of sanctions, joining the WTO, out of debt and having there money on the world market and being traded) Being able to inport export goods now due to sanctions lifted.
Do you really think the Dinar would stay the same value, and not even move .10 ? If so im wasting my time talking to you, and I can only asume all your many post here are just to bash us INVESTERS. Now with that said, im not saying the things mentioned above have happened yet. Some have and the others well on there way. Myself , I can live with 300.00 loss trying. Would kick myself for the rest of my life if I did nothing and it Rv’d for even .10
In your example buying at .10 and selling at 3.64 is roughly 36 times your investment. Buying the Iraqi Dinar at 1170 to the dollar and selling at the desired 3.22 each is well over 3000 times your investment. Secondly in the Kuwait situation you had an established openly traded currency take a dip on invasion news and then rebound when confidence was restored. Not the same RV that the Iraqi Dinar, a non openly traded currency, is looking at. Remember to compare apples to apples! Still Good Luck
I bought some Iraq danar for my grandchildren,s scrap book.
Good point in principal. And some may be putting into practice. I’ll give you that. That is why theory is so beautiful and why so many new Harvard grads are really book smart, but lack practical expreience and good financial judgement. I am not putting you in that catagory, just saying BUT I really have my doubts that these currency brokers are building stockpiles of Iraqi currency to cash in on the great RV. They know what the real potential of this investment is and I’ll bet they are NET SELLERS. NOW come on Ralph, as an “astute businessman”, do you think the returns many are expecting, some in excess of three thousand percent yes 3000% are based on reasonable possibility or fantacy? Does it seem reasonable to be able to invest $10 and get $30,000.00 return maybe as soon as next week!! ” It’s going to RV at $3.22″ So many are saying “well I’d rather blow $10 than lose a shot at $30,000.00″. Thats not investing, thats gambling and GREED in action. Just my opinion. I mean I too play the lottery, but I do not REALLY think I’m going to win. I play for the fantacy, of being able to dream of what I could do. “Investing in the Iraqi Dinar with lofty expectations is FANTACY and DREAMING
I purchased a large sum of Dinar back in 2004. I read about an tried to get more info. But today with the extreme devaluation of the US Dollar I thought that dinar of iraq would increase in value, however it looks like I would be lucky to break even. ??
Millions off such a small investment. Really? Good Luck
@ Speculator ! In regards to your comment to Sam Sutton’s comment dated April 21, 2011 whereas he stated that a bank in Southern Tennessee is selling the Iraqi Dinar for 1/2 cent each. Not trying to be a wise guy but your math is a bit off for what 1169 dinars would sell for at 1/2 cent per dinar. The correct computation would be $5.84 and 1/2 cent U. S. dollars for 1169 dinars in lieu of $584.50. On the other hand it is a rip off in the Sum of $4.84 and 1/2 cent per 1169 dinar’s with the exhange rate being 1169 Iraqi Denar’s for one U.S. dollar. So the bank in Tennessee is profiting approximately $3400.00 U.S. dollars if in fact they purchased one million Iraqi denar’s for the sum of $900.00 U.S. dollars. Not meaning to offend you but we do need to keep the math and other info. correct so others investing in the new Iraq do not lose Hope in our investment.
Here is why people sell dinars instead of hold them. To keep it on a small scale and the numbers simple, let’s say I’m a currency dealer and I own 1,000,000 dinars that cost me $1,000. The numbers are irrelevant; the principal is the same. I can hold the 1,000,000 dinars with the potential of a $3,000,000 return, or I can sell them for $1,200 or a profit of $200. After my sale, I immediately use my $1,200 to purchase 1,200,000 dinars with a potential value of $3,600,000. I could not have increased my potential income without selling my original dinars for a profit. As a dealer, repeat this process thousands of times and your inventory becomes vast. When you feel the RV is imminent, you stop selling. By the way, I am not a dealer, just a businessman hoping along with thousands of others that the RV is for real.
history with a lop = hyper inflation. Iraqi dont have hyper inflation. thanks for the good luck thing tho..ditto!
Right now it takes 117 dinar to make .10. You are looking for 1 dinar to make .10 and think that is not too unrealistic. By my calculations that is a huge increase almost rising to an unbelievable return on investment. Thus turning your 2100 US dollar investment into over $200000.00. That would be great for you, but I see a lop coming first and then perhaps RVing the dinar to be on par with the dollar as a more likely scenario. Good Luck
You’re right! Just trying to make the point that if you invest be realistic about your expectations. Thought a little tounge and cheek may drive it home.
Same when you could buy kuwait money for next to nothing.People like yourself said same old thing. Then people that didnt listen and bought them for .05 sold for 3.64 pre war. I myself think it going up .10 ten cents lol isnt being unrealistic at all . So my 2100.00 is now 200.000 I think it will be more than .10 but would be a great investment if thats all it was. Now lets say your wrong and I listened to you. Im out hundreds of thousands or millions. Or do what im doing and it dont RV. Then im out 2-3 hundred. My self id rather be out 2-3 hundred and tryed than listen to u and be out hundreds of thousands or millions. Just opinion.Good luck to all eighter way!
Now your comparing apples with fruit cake.
I think if you read my comment I actually said I agree that people did well with the Kuwait situation, but that the Iraq situation is completely different. Yet again people hear only what they want to hear and ignore the rest. Good Luck!
For those that can’t resist I have a better investment. Invest in dit dollars. These are my own dollars backed by me. I will do better than the dinar. I will sell my dit dollars at the rate of one billion dit dollars for a mere $25.00 US. Now I promise not to do any lopping and I am telling you upfront that I will revalue these next week for $5000.00 US dollars per dit dollar. Now let’s do the math. For your mere $25.00 investment you will own 5000 billion US dollars next week. Sure it may seem unbelievable, but there it is, you can be the richest man or woman in the world by far. Think of all the things you could have. A new car, a yacht, a castle the options are endless and all this for 25 bucks. Forget that it is too good to be true, just go with it. The sad thing is I know there is someone out there that is going to wonder where they can send their 25 bucks. Oh Well!!! You get the point. The Iraqi Dinar tugs on the same strings, GREED! and WISHFULL THINKING!!!
Yep, people bought it for .05-.10 each then sold them for 3.64+ And people like him said that there wasnt going to be an RV with them yet alot of now millionares would beg to differ lol !
My take on it is if you already own the dinar keep them until it all plays out. When I said it is a sham I really mean the idea of turning a thousand US dollars into a million US dollars by buying dinars is a sham. The only ones making money are the brokers with their up-charge. As far as dinar being a real currency it is and they do have a value. The thing is the value is about 1170 dinar to the dollar and will most likely remain 1170 to the dollar after any removal of zeros and the RV, which I think will happen in tandem. I do not own any dinar and have no plans on buying any. I just find it odd that if I wanted to buy any there are many professional money changers who are in the trade and know far more than either of us about any potential RV who are more than willing to sell me a million dinar for about $1200 US dollars. My concern is why do these “in the know professionals” want to unload for $1200 US their dinars that many dreamers insist will be worth perhaps several million very soon??? Doesn’t make any sense to me. Whadda you think??????
I did not know that, but it does not surprise me!!
Oh I guess the word instant threw you. Let’s use five years. You want to be a five year investor of $1200.00 US dollars and turn it into one, two or three million in five years. Now I see your point. Doing this instantly would be ridiculous, but since you invested your $1200 US five years ago it makes perfect sense that it should yield in the millions. Who’s head is on backwards??? You decide!!!
Completely different situation, an existing openly traded currency went down due to invasion, markets reacted to possibility of Kuwait falling into Iraq hands and their currency dropped. Those that did pick it up on the cheap made money when Iraq was thrown out and confidence was restored. Mark my words I agree that people did well with the Kuwait situation, won’t work in this situation. You are not comparing apples with apples. If you compare apples with oranges you can probably come up with any scenario you want to justify the ends you desire. It won’t make is so though. You decide!! Good Luck!!
I bought mine from a bank.5th 3rd bank. Seen as of last week cant buy it there no more. Some say sign of an RV. I think due to so many people buying it took up to much of their time! If it goes up even 10 cents my 2100 dollor investment is now 200,000. I can aford some fees.As for 25000 to 25 dinar everthing i seen says within Iraqi. And they have almost all 25000 and other large notes in. Not every where. “IN Iraq”. Funny how something said, can go my different ways out of contex with u doubters. Whats funny to me is Dinar cant go much lower. And to think wants Iraqi joins the WTO and they start importing and exporting (NOT JUST OIL) that the currency is going to stay next to nothing is a fool. One of the richest has one of the least currency . Then will wait and see.Rather loose couple hundreds in fees trying than to think there money wont go up and loose hundreds of thousands or more!Thats only if goes up 10 cents.. lol
Right on dit! And you are most correct in that the dealers I’ve seen buying dinar charge a $125 buy back fee! Dinar brokers are making money selling it to you and then buying it back!
Therein lies the opportunity for the dinar broker. The idea that you can make millions with little or no risk draws people to “invest”. Here you are going into your “investment” with the idea that is is better to buy so as not to loose the shot a a million. Just what the broker wants you to think so he can ge his fee.
The perfect con to have a shill eager to loose a little so as not to loose out on a shot at BIG BUCKS. Why do you suppose the broker is so happy to part with his dinar? After all he could hold on to them and cash in BIG himself or sell and get a little bit of a fee. The broker of course chooses to get a little bit of a fee over and over and over again. Why does he opt to do this????? What does he know that we do not know????? Little fees add up to BIG BUCKS, thats what!!!!!! Good luck!
By the way you may very well have to pay that broker another fee to change in your 25000 dinar for the new 25 dinar when it redenominates and pay your broker again to finally cash out of dinar back into US dollars whey you see the RV at a par with the US dollar and find out you actually broke even on the exchange rate, but lost 30% because of the 3 dealings with your friendly broker. Just my two cents or should I say 23.4 dinar.
just to let u know that is what they said about the kuwait dollars and it revalued and people made millons
I have a question for all you millionaire want to be’s. Why can I buy, right now, a million dinars for about $1200 US dollars if your RV scenario makes any sense? What professional currency trader is foolish enough to sell me something for $1200 US dollars that, according to you, will be worth in excess of one million US dollars perhaps as early as next week.
Why would they not hold on to their dinar and cash in for the million themselves. DUH!! The obvious answer is that of course these dinar traders know it is all a sham. These guys are in the game and have been for years.
Don’t you think that if this RV was real, without the lopping scenario, that they would be the first to know and stop selling their dinars for pennies and keep it for themselves to cash in for the BIG BUCKS? Come on, get real. I know you want it to happen or perhaps need it to happen, but step back and look at it logically. If it seems too good to be true it probably is, and getting over a 3000% return on your investment seems a bit too good to be true don’t you think??
Hello All
I found your interesting web site by chance , and i am shocked for how people dream to make money easily, the investing in IQD is ok but the previous experiences in such high rise or fall in the IQD value usually used by countries next to IRAQ whom in direct touch and getting the proper information in time. There is slight growth in the Iraqi economy which will push the value of IQD, hope all the best in your investments , but i do recommend you to invest your money in the American defense and armor companies, don’t forget the oil companies as well!
Oh yea what you think makes much more sense. I can invest $1000.00 today and when it RV’s next week I make over a million dollars WHEEEEE! And the dealers that are willing to sell you this million dollar dream are trying like hell to get you to send them $1000.00 so that they can what?? unload a million dinar for $1000.00 today when all they have to do is hold on to it for one more week to get the million for themselves. Who’s the fool here??
Duh my math is fine. I took away the three zeros and then said they would revalue the dinar at a par with the dollar which is giving you back the 1000 percent . Do the math it is all a wash!
Its good to hear that the prices are going up that means the banks know its about to happen. Be encouraged by the inflated prices, and buy if can.
Someone needs to go back to math class. Taking away 3 zeros for the re-denomination doesn’t mean they’re taking away the value of the dinar. If they took 3 zeros out of the dinar as a revaluation then that would mean they are making their country 1000x poorer. That would also mean they are revaluing the currency of IQD. And obviously they are not revaluing the currency yet.
I’ve been in this for a while now and have done more than my share of research. I can tell you what exactly what is going to happen but you probably wouldn’t believe me. It seems that the dream carries a much bigger weight than does reality.
When the investigation into the redenomination is complete, it will go to parliment for passing or vetoing. It is my educated guess that it will pass. Redenomination not only happens in times of inflation but also after inflation is under control. Removing zero’s from the notes will give the Dinar the appearance of the stability thus attracting investment into the country. It will also make transactions easier for banks as well as the average Iraqi. However, given how slow things are done in Iraq it could be months or even years before we see the Iraqi Parliment make a deternimation on the deletion of the zero’s .
Inflation is of concern to the world right now. High oil prices, Food, and just about every comodity out there is going up. The dollar is falling rapidily on every front. Iraq managed to stablize inflation for the last few years to about 3% now though since inflation is rampant throughout the world, Iraq’s inflation has risen in the last few months to 5.7%.
So if we do see the redenomination of the currency soon it would be much better for the Iraqi’s. It will not be so good for us. Your 25,000 note would become 25. So if you have 1 milllion dinar you would have 1000 dinar. No.
And if it isn’t, what is to stop Iraq from saying that unless you have an account in Iraq your Dinar will not be exchangable?
There is no sense in taking the loss now or at least until the redenomination occurs.
Read many of these post and not heard one person talk about what needs to happen to rv.Iraq owed many countries and had alot of debt.Lately most or all debt has been forgiven now debt is off the list. They needed to have a government and then be recognized by the wto (world trade organization). As of this April Government is about completed and are set to join the WTO. Inflation was another. It was really high and now down to 3-4%.All the rv crap going around couldnt be true because of all the things above need to be addressed.Alot of things have happened already in 2011 and all are pointing to an rv soonIm not say tomorrow next week or even next month, but spend what u can aford.Put in the dresser and wait and will be rewarded.Id rather bought 2,000,000 for 2100 and did the wait and see game and loose VERY LITTLE of my 2100 then not bought any and it rv and maybe loose hundreds of thousands or even millions!
really dit? instant millionaire? a lot of us have been holding our INVESTMENT for years. pull your head out of your butt and do some research. your comment shows how ignorant you really are and why you’re broke and will always be broke. I’ve been trading forex for quite some time. I know my stuff and it’s people like you that make me laugh. You know nothing. You might want people to think you’re stupid rather than open your mouth and remove any doubt.
I was told that it is the First Third Bank in Murfreesboro, TN-37129- and I found three listed on the internet but no mention of the Dinar.
Wow! What an ingenious way to make money!
Right now, the exchange rate is 1169 Iraqi Dinars for 1 US Dollar which equates to 0.000855 cent per Dinar. Look at it another way, they are getting $584.50 for 1169 Dinars which is a 583.50 profit!
The bank spends about $900 for one million Iraqi Dinar and flips it for $500,000! Wow! that is amazing, and people are really buying this up? Seriously?
What a dream, go out and buy yourself a million dinars even if you pay $1,200 and then sell it for half a million shortly after :)
I’d imagine the dinar are real, but it is the worst investment I have ever heard of!
Hi, I have a question. A bank in southern Tennessee is selling Dinars for 1/2 cent each. Are these fake? Everyone is rushing to buy these.
BRS, Sam.
Paul,
if you can not unload it contact me and Iwill buy it from you.
I am amazed at the naysayers. Dinar is listed on FOREX now so it
is being traded.
So they loop the zeros off. It will still have value.
USD has no value and it is going down fast. all you have to do is look at
the currency exchange charts. they are published every day on the internet
The Dinar is listed too.
All the other currencies are going up and the dollar is going down.
the more the FED prints of this valueless dollar the more we lose.
With all the income the GOVT is getting from Taxes can’t even start to
pay the DEBT the US has.
Watch out for a devaluation of the dollar to cover this USD currency which has no backing. The Funny Money will be real FUNNY MONEY.
We also will more than likely lose the world currency status of the dollar. Watch inflation go up then. we will have to pay what other
nations have to pay for oil in the currency that IMF chooses to use.
Just look at what happened in the UK when Sterling was dropped and changed to the USD. It will happen to US too.
I will take my chances with the DINAR at least they have something of value to back it up.
I have some questions about buying Iraqi Dinars.
What is the difference in buying the circulated vs new bills?
What is the difference in buying the larger denominations vs the smaller ones?
What are the benefits to diversifying?
Thanks,
Scott
You millionaire want to be’s have got to be kidding!! Do you really think a little $1000.00 gamble is REALLY going to make you an instant millionaire? You can’t be serious! Just because you want it to happen or need it to happen , it makes absolutely NO SENSE!
If and when there is a RV it will be preceded by a redenomination thus changing your 1 million dinars into 1 thousand dinars. (lopping off the 3 zeros) Then comes the RV probably on par with the US dollar. Thus your investment of $1000.00 will still be worth about $1000.00. Now you will have to either go to Iraq to convert your old 25000 dinar notes into new 25 dinar notes or as I suspect there will be brokers, for a fee, willing to convert for you. With the trip to Iraq or the fee to the broker you will end up with less than you think.
Sorry to bring a dose of reality into your lives, but THAT’S IT IN A NUTSHELL!!
Does that mean that all the Iraqi money will be burned again like Saddam’s money?
I have a friend who has been buying a lot of dinar and trying to talk me into buying. This page is very helpful.
Thanks
Im unsure of your exact situation but i recently lost my job in England and used £100 of what i had left to buy 200,000 dinars. If the value goes up to where it should $3 (roughly £2) i’ll be laughing. It depends if you can afford to pigeon hole £100(or $150 ish) and wait and see. remember, you cant LOSE the money cos if it doesnt RV you simply change in the dinars and lose maybe 10% max ($15).
Im cautious as i dont believe in a ‘free lunch’ but if it comes off my children will be made for life and all i had to do was be patient with £100.
Believe!!
:-)
SPOT ON WITH THIS!!
Money only changes those who let themselves be changed. But you can’t deny that it won’t be nice to have a little extra cash on the side. As a young adult, I think having money would be nice. I can pay off my college tuition with no worries of having to work in order to make ends meet. I’m a first year college student and money isn’t something I have a lot of. So I would like to have some extra cash so I can go out with my friends. Nowadays you can’t really do anything with out money.
For those of you still wondering what’s going on with the Dinar I am here to tell you to stop wondering and losing sleep over it. I have invested a good size amount of $$$ in the dinar since early last year. I have done a lot of research and since early 2009 many were expecting it to RV. And you know why? Because the sellers of Dinar have been making ever positive step Iraq has taken and made it into a reason for us to believe it will RV that week or that month. This has not driven the dinar’s value up much, but the fees of the sellers (supply and demand) have in some cases tripled.
The truth of the matter is if you are interested in investing then do so. However keep in mind the risk as with any stock you purchase (stock can go up and it can go down). In my opinion if the RV hits, it won’t hit at $1 or $3 right at the opening bell. That is just impossible in this case for the obvious reasons regardless of how much oil or natural gas resources they have. Just look at the other oil filled countries they aren’t at $3 right? They have other products they trade too outside of oil. If and when it hits, like every other stock you invest in the public’s interest will dictate how much it will go up and when they lose interest, it will go back down.
So if you have invested or are going to invest, you need to move one and don’t lose sleep over it. Don’t even do anymore research, it will drive you insane. If you invest $100 or $1000, think of it as a dinner or vacation and move on. When/If it hits you will know. I am not trying to be negative I have a lot invested in this too, but for 2 years we have been hearing this is going to RV any day now and it hasn’t. So I have decided to move on and let my money ride this insane wave.
If I ever elect to sell and need the money, the site where I bought my dinars from will buy them back from me. Yes, there is a charge (will probable loose 5%-10% of my money), but in my opinion it is better than losing all your money.
Good luck
Susie, you sound like a CTC Warrior.
i think his point is that it sounds like a scam because due to the laws economics and currency exchange, it is impossible to revalue a traded currency that is pegged to all other currencies in such a way. these revaluations only occur in NON-traded currencies when they have been undervalued by a dicatorship. in the case of the dinar, the $3 peg figure was a saddam hussein era pegging. and not a traded value. he simply STATED it was “worth” 3 dollars. but noone even then believed that or traded it at that exchange. on the black market one dinar eben then traded for thousand of USD. so in the open, in a world currency system that is fairly valued it will never and would never be revalued in this manner. i think thats what he meant. and you being pretty educated on currwency valuation and trading must know this i am sure.
amazing how the top 2% pay 50% of the taxes, and yet….DONT PAY TAXES. i am a REALLY good CPA. i know LOTS of tricks ma’am. i know them all. and the big lie is they pay no taxes. i know you dont know this. and i know people have manipulated you to belive that they dont pay taxes; they have lied to you. but the truth and the facts dont bear that out. please, for your own good, investigate what you are talking about. next time, before you write it down. peace.
ps: paying taxes is all about here your “cinome” comes from. i.e. wages, or s-copr earnings, or other self-employment or the old fashioned (john kerry) way: “investing”. i.e. her inherited it. and its passive income.
I have recently invested in IQD. I do not know about everything that is going on since I just started college so I haven’t really had the time to do any hard research. But I just wanted some insight on what ever else I should know or if what I know is correct.
From what I have talked about with my father is that IQD was originally a little over $3 worth of US dollars. Since the US invaded Iraq a few years ago. The Iraq currency fell dramatically. The whole currency investment law passed in 2008 or 09? I don’t remember but it is legal to invest in currency.
Now this is what I heard the whole thing is about. US wants oil. Iraq has oil. Now that Iraq is pretty much at rock bottom with their economy, they can only go up from their current situation. And the US is sending aid to Iraq with our next deployment of soldiers coming this May. Now the deployment I’m not sure what for. I think it is help for Iraq because the war in Iraq is pretty much over so we’re putting troops in Afghanistan, Korea, and Africa now. Since the Iraq war is coming to an end, they as a country can only rebuild their land. Meaning their currency will rise up again since they have a lot of oil that many people want.
And honestly I don’t think the US will just destroy a place and leave it. The US is to caught up with the idea of being the world’s good guys so it seems plausible that the US would help Iraq reconstruct their losses. So revaluing their currency would mean that they have lots of money again to buy and make new things, and since a million people (just in the US and not counting other people in other countries) own a lot of Iraqi Dinar would mean when those million people who trade their Dinar in, would be giving the Government the Dinar to trade for the oil. Also considering that the US is 13 trillion dollars in debt. I don’t think the big guys really care about giving away more money. Money doesn’t seem to be a priority issue to them.
Now investing in this being a bad idea? I don’t think so. I think it is a great idea. So long as you buy as much as you can afford. Iraq currency is already super low, it wont get any lower. So if you feel sketchy about investing, just buy a little. It’s not like it’s going to harm you because if nothing happens, you will get what you spent back.
$100 for 100k IQD. Iraq Currency never revalues, then you get you $100 back. If it does revalue, then boom diggity, you get lots of money. And with people having a lot of money means that the US economy will go back up because people will be spending money, and the money will flow through the system again and the cycle will continue healthily once more. Just make sure you don’t spend too much money. :-D
I think that is everything I wanted to say…. Now correct any stuff that should be corrected. I would like to know what I do not know yet.
Do you think the currency will revalue once we deploy our units to Iraq?
I’m Steven, just turned 20, Freshmen in college. Nice to join this conversation with you all.
capital one was still selling
key is: don’t buy more than you can afford to spend in investment money! i only have $250.00 in u.s. money, and if this doesn’t happen i’m not out any serious money! but IF it does even match dollar for dollar, i’m not gonna be sorry that i vested $250 for $250 k. i watch people every day waste more than that @ local casinos. at least this is potential investment!
i live in jax,fl.where is this bank located?
First of all, I have to say, the author of this article along with most people commenting here are totally confused about the value of the Dinar….
I just came back from Iraq and I’ll tell you folks what’s going to happen to make it a little clear, so that you understand the situation before you think buying a million dinars is going to make you 3 million dollars after revaluation…
The first thing is the Dinar is going to be redenominated, what that means is basically “cutting zeros!”, New Notes!. Let’s say for example 1000 Dinars without the zeros is going to be 1 Dinar…..let me remind you, the value of the dinar at the moment….1000 Dinars is one note that you can buy 1 burger with…Ok, 1 Burger, not 1000 Burgers, it doesn’t have the same value as the dollar because of inflation….
Ok now, 1000 Dinar after redenomination is a crisp new Dinar…1 Dinar….what’s next?
Revaluation…..I don’t know exactly what the rate might be, but putting in economic and financial statistics of both Iraq and the US in context, I believe it would stand around 3.5Dollars……1 Dinar = 3.5 Dollars
Of course this will not happen overnight, at first, after redenomination the value of the Dinar compared to the US would be 0.83 = 1 but the Dinar would most definitely gain against the Dollar until reaching a rate of around 1 = 3.5, a little less, a little more, depending on global markets, this might be wishful thinking but it could power up higher to reach above 5 dollars as there more and more oil fields are found and the situation stabilizes…..
Do people really think money will change their lives? Wc can’t leave this world with any possessions and wouldn’t our children benefit more from establishing morals and values to pass on. It often concerns me about the obsession of money and the evil it brings. As a completely debt free 32 year old, I am assuming that everyone who has invested in this has no debt and can spare the extra cash to hand out. Just something to ponder…A
I have 6 25,000 dinar note . I want to know when could we find out the value of them and when , we be able to exchange the in the united state.
hi i am 69 living only on social security.is wise to try and buy some dinar for my family
I appreciate this website. My husband came home wanting me to check into buying Dinar as some of the men at work have been doing it for years and make it sound like they are going to be millionaires. As I got to looking into to it things seemed a little more complicated then they made it out to be. I am more on the cautious side. I am still going to research it further. Your site seems far more honest then any I have read. Thank you!!!!
I see that you have some ties with biblical scriptures. Unfortunately, I don’t yield the specific answers you seek but I offer some places to research the reval of the Dinar. Read Revelation chapters 17 & 18. In order for something to be “torn down” it must first be “raised up”…remember that and you will see (biblically) the proof of the reval.
We all pay taxes – rich people just know the loopholes so they pay less than others.
It is my understanding that there are no tax laws in place at this time to tax you on profits from Iraqui dinar should they ever go up in value and you can actually cash in on this.
It is my sincere hope that those of us who have invested in the Iraqi Dinar have not been “hood winked”, “ban bamboozled”, and led astray. I am a fairly new investor. In doing some research, I’ve discovered that the dinar has been predicted to RV since at least 2009. There has been nothing but rumors, innuendos, and speculations. All of which have not come to fruition. Does anyone, and I do mean, ANYONE have any concrete factual evidence as to where the dinar currently stands ? I consider myself to be a very positive thinking person, but something about what has been posted on many blogs does not set very well with me. I’m sure there are many others who share my sentiments. It is my prayer that God, in His own time and way will “show up”, and also “show out”. “Press down, shaken together, and running over”.
Melissa, I wish I had your faith but just think a minute. There is no way our dollar could stand the pressure if all the sudden there were millions of millionaires just instantly. No one is going to Rv the currency and make rich folks. Now they will make the rich richer but not us average poor folks. It’s just human nature, it’s a power thing just like our government not helping people on social security and giving free medical to the retired and elderly. It’ll’ never happen but gosh, I hope I’m wrong.
Since you have invested in dinars, you are stealing from the rich and giving to the poor…have more faith in what you do…
There will be taxes from those instant millionaires, unless they all avoid or evade the tax man, or we have some revolt in our country and everyone realizes that they don’t work for the federal government nor do they live in Washington DC or US occupied territories so it is only voluntary for them to participate in the tax scam.
Sure the big “They” is going to be happy to see all the uninformed paying their big tax chunk right off the top of each of your million.
Do you really think the RICH pay taxes? = NOT (unless they have uneducated accountants who don’t know how to work that system)
Do you think Mr. Trump pays taxes. The rich give just enough away to avoid paying taxes. You can tooo…..
Start envisioning who you want to help instead of being so certain this will never happen. Start looking into your heart and see who around you needs help right in your own neighborhood. Non profits abound doing great work for children and animals and poor and needy.
Very soon you will no longer be unable to help the needy. You will be in a position to do great good. Be Ready to help. BE READY!
The closer the dinar gets to being revalued, the MORE everyone will hear it’s a hoax, because people are buying it up by the millions. It will revalue this month and I have bought my fair share of it and will be a millionaire. Even if you purchase 100,000 and can spare the amount it sells for, GO FOR IT, you will not be let down, I PROMISE you. Low income families…(you get where I’m going with this) was not even supposed to know about this investment. This was only supposed to be for the RICH, the already “well off” people.
As I now understand, about 1,000,000 U.S. people have invested in the Dinar so does anyone think that a person or persons will (so to speak) push a magic button and make 1,000,000 people instant millionaires. It won’t happen soon and never will happen. The main reason being that the Dinar is circulated currency and their is a quadtrillion floating around everywhere. The Kuwait currency was not free floating currency. Some people did make oodles of money when Kuwait RV’ed but you really had to be in the know about that one. As far as the Dinar, it’s posted all over the net about what could happen so lots of people are investing. It is true that there is a lot of money to be made and that’s by the people selling it to us and telling you that it could RV and make you rich. I myself have invested in Dinar and hope as much as any of you that this magic button will be pushed but I’m not holding my breath.
The U.S. Currency is not backed by gold.
HELLO… Where have you been.?.?.?
US dollar is NOT backed by anything. The gold standard was removed YEARS AGO. The silver backing was removed during Nixon era. If you paid attention to history, President Kennedy had just announced that our money needed to be put back on the gold standard, oops and suddenly he was mysteriously shot by those gunmen…..
Look at the money=it is PLAY MONEY. They have finally made the money look like what it really is….
If you had been alive when the money was backed by gold it didn’t say Federal Reserve Note.
There is a vault in Fort Knox. There is a small amount of gold there, that they SHOW people who visit.
The gold has been removed long ago.
That is why we have such a huge national debt. The gov’t keeps borrowing money from that private bank who just keeps printing more of this funny money.
That is why my dear YOU ARE THE COLLATERAL for the national debt like all the rest of us….
Yes, you have stated that clearly. Let’s adjust that to the RICHEST have invested heavily in Iraq. They have funded this whole scenario, like all the wars from Napoleon times (at least). So why could anyone out there be dumbfounded about the fact that they are the ones who are holding the RV up until all who are about to go bankrupt and loose everything do, before they let the dinars out of the bag….seems like a nasty little twist they are adding to the mix. But it is just a repeat of the great depression. Who got all the little guys homes and farms and businesses??? The same guys are doing same same again…
I pray everyday that those of us who have been lucky enough to even find out about dinars do amazing gifts of greatness with the abundance we receive.
Hi suzy,
I woke up this morning wondering if the rv will ever happen, if it does then hooray if not then so beit, but your comment gave me hope again :)
Perhaps it is divine intervention .
Take care!
All this RV talk is driving me crazy since I heard about it. I dont know much about Iraq , but I do know they have a lot of oil. So if the chance to make some money for a small investment is there im going to roll the dice with 1000 us dollars on the black(oil).
Dont miss out ,roll the dice.
The U.S. Federal Reserve Notes are NOT backed by GOLD!
Even if you went with the theory of dropping the 3 zero’s and they traded 1 for 1. It only costs you right at $1200 for a MILLION Iraqi Dinar. So, let’s take the 3 zero’s off of that MILLION and you have a 1,000. When that climbs back up to 3.48 it was before you still tripled your money. The bottom line is this, everything in life is a gamble and we can play the what if game forever. But I would much rather be setting here with 10 MILLION Iraqi Dinar now and maybe brake even, than rather be setting 2 years from now looking at the same old lifestyle and saying “What if I would have bought Iraqi Dinar”. Either way we never know. So, just trust your gut.
The rich men of the earth are behind the value of the Iraqi Dinar.
They are not going to broad cast sources the Government wants you to think it wont happen and for people to think it is scam do you honestly think the government wants a bunch of millionaires walking around …No they don’t so they are going to put so much doubt in your mind by having people put up false things and such about this IQD RV…
I am one who believes in this IQD being RV soon . So invest take a chance don’t listen to all the BS your being fed and giving you doubt about this. Even if it is just investing in 250,000 dinar what do you have to loose nothing . This is going to happen . Even ex presidents are investing in this and other government people are in this and they don’t put it out there they are cause they don’t want others getting in on the good money …So think what you want but know that you are going to be disappointed when it happens and you never took your chance to get in on this .
The dinar is oil backed so like the US currency is backed by gold the dinar is backed by oil and at the current barrel of oil prices I’m sure they’ll have plenty to back any revaluation amount I’m just hoping it happens soon I’ve purchased millions of dinar and plan to purchase a home in a my old school district so my son can get the best education in the area and he starts kindergarten next year. So my fingers are crossed it happens very soon!
If you think dinars are such a scam, why do you even waste your time reading this website??
It is sad you feel so stuck, unable to exchange back your dinars to dollars. Did you know that the US dollar is loosing value every day?
It might be wise for you to invest in Australian or Brazilian money, ‘cuz their’s are going up in value.
Grow some patience if you own dinars.
If you don’t own dinars, why do you even force your uneducated opinion on us?
I believe this will happened and I’m gone live the life I always imagined! And if it don’t happened the cool-aid was so good I’ll drink another glass..
Do you remember the crash of 1929? (Was that the year, I’m loosing my memory, it was so long ago…) Who benefited when Walstreet and the banks closed down? Only the richest and in the “know” came out smelling like roses as the country’s wealth became distributed neatly into the richest families from around the world.
B-Zllions of Iraqi dinar notes have been sold, yes, but remember, they still have mostly been hoarded by those with the funds to transform their wealth into something beyond their dreams also. Once again the richest are going to get richer, with a few of us lucky smucks getting to join in this time.
Do you see our mass media who is owned by whom? sharing this info. with the welfare receivers, or just regular Joe the plumber…? No, in fact it has been pretty much hushed up, and not because it is a scam.
How did you find out about dinars? Most likely it was from some sort of divine intervention, so take heart and let go of the fear side of this thing and the nonsense about the zeros.
Yes millionaire’s can be made overnite. Lot’s of taxes can come flooding into the system and watch what happens…
Your dreams can come true, and so can mine.
This sort of money is all on paper…. like the national debt. The figures just get added onto your checking account. …
Cody, you are an intelligent and wiser than your years, thinker. Dismiss the ill wishers and nay sayers, for you have beautiful dreams that will come true. Keep thinking and dreaming bigger tomorrow, than you can even imagine today. Follow your heart! Go Cody!
I live in weatherford Tx and the bank in walmart did it for us. The bank is first financial bank
There is also, not ONE credible source that says the RV will NOT occur. I also buy lottery tickets that the probablilty is very high that I will not win. However, people do win. I know this that if you do not play or take a risk you will never win wether it be the lottery or the Iraq Dinar. So if you can play the game, play, but do not try and take the hope from those that wish to play. Sometimes Hope is all we have.
I purchased 25o,000 some years ago for under $200. I figured that I can blow 200 bucks in a night-on-the-town, so I’ll just eschew “one-night” and buy some Dinars. I see that 250K dinars can now be purchased for $310.
I never viewed the purchase as a “get rich quick” scheme. In fact, I never viewed it as an investment. I thought, “The US has spent a lot of money in Iraq and will do what it takes to prevent the country from becoming FUBAR. Who knows? Maybe in 20-years….”.
I don’t plan on buying more dinars, nor to I plan to sell those I have any time soon. I’ll believe in RV when it happens. In the meantime, I’ll place confidence in the Iraqi people’s desire to be prosperous…… and my silver bullion and coin (woo hoo!)
I think your wrong when you talk about the re-evaluing of the IQD. Just as |Mexico and venzuila did they removed 3 zeros from the value, making 1,000,000 = to 1,000 so what you think as having a million you actually own 1,000. That’s the way its going to happen. You think they will allow 100 of thousand people become instant millionaires. Not going to happen. They will emove three zeros from the amount and trade it a 1 for 1.
ist Convenience Bank at almost any Walmart will sell you dinar. I bought some today (April 9) in Bedford, TX.
Move that graph up one year and make it 2005-2011 and it then the argument becomes moot.
Well said, knowledge and patience is needed in this…..
Hey Randy,
How do you know “they have about 25 trillion dinars in circulation right now “. Where did you get that 25 trillion figure from?
JF
You should be able to unload it on eBay for a profit in any allotment you choose to sell it as long as you didn’t get screwed when you bought it. I would feel sorry for you when it reval’s though and wish I had 40 Million!!! GO RV!!!!!
The Dinar will Revalue, and although it may not reach as high as some say, even a 1 cent raise would make a good profit if you were to buy 1000 dinars. All you that say it wont happen are going to be pissed when it does happen. Haters gonna Hate.
My question still remains as it has all along. Where are the dollars going to come from?
Do you have a paper with the money you purchased if so I might buy from you
i have bought 500,000 IQD, i hoping for it to happen today, Iraq has a meeting with the WTO today, so we will see what happens…
I’m only 17 years old, lol i am doing this investment for college, and looking forward to own a business after college, if this investment works, i am hoping and praying.
u can get it at 5/3rd
I have searched all over and I can’t find a “local bank” that will accept, trade, or even order IQD for me. I am in the Dallas Texas metro, so please share what you know.
Thanks
I too am a skeptic. Let’s look at a very important fact. Iraq is the third largest oil reserve in the world, possibly the first. And we control it!
no one knows for sure. lets hope soon.
In North Florida, Fifth Third Bank is selling the currency.
I am not doing this to start a trouble and people yelling at me if it does not happen in the next day, but if you have ever even thought about buying dinar do it NOW!!! but as much as you can afford to lose.
Do this as soon as you can! We may only have days before this thing pops and every one of us are going to be wondering why we did not buy more dinar when we have the chance to make a profit of more than 1000%.
This is a once in a lifetime chance and we need to take advantage of it! but beware. there are scams out there in the dinar world. DO NOT WIRE money to unknown locations. just trade US cash for IQD at a local bank.
Thats the thing….bank of america doesnt do it anymore. i walked into multiple banks and they said that they dont order dinars. hmmm i wonder why…more for themselves possibly? you must find your own legitimate source to trade your currency. but id do it asap. this revaluation could happen overnight any day now.
I don’t mean to burst your bubble, but if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
My husband and I and some friends bought dinar several years ago, after the war “ended,” and the country was set to turn around. We were lucky to get our money back when we turned in our dinar last year.
A pilot friend opened an account in a bank in Baghdad with his dinar, and never got any confirmation that they even have his money. So he’s out his dinar/American dollars.
Have you asked yourselves, Who’s going to “infuse” all the money it takes to make so many people instant millionaires? George Soros?
It sounds like whoever wants people to buy dinar is putting out all this publicity about revaluing the dinar and turning so many people into millionaires. You’re better off buying silver or gold.
i have been hearing about the iraq dinar revaluation. Do yall happen to know when it will revalue in the US?
Alot of great info …thanx
The revaluation is never going to happen. It’s a good pitch, but if it sounds to good to be true it probably is. Do you really think its that easy to turn $1K to $1M. FYI .. when the Dinar was valued at $3.20, it was not an internationally accepted form of currency. If fact, it was worthless outside of Iraq. It was an ambigious number Sadam Hussien valued his currency. Don’t fall victim to this scam. You will get stuck with Iraqi Dinar you won’t be able to exchange back to dollars.
Are you saying you want to sell them?
why the 8th Richard
Ok, so why April 8th? I’ve heard so many different dates over the past couple weeks that have come and gone.
Who benefits the most from selling Dinars to wishful buyers? The bank of Iraq and those who handle the transactions. You people are being fooled. There is not ONE credible source that claims this “RV” will happen. Not ONE.
HOWEVER – if you do want to get rich quick…
I am selling “Pot of Gold” coordinates for $1000.00 each.
just go to: sendmeyourcashnow dot com
Now this is a sure thing people!!!! Rainbows happen everyday and only I know where they start and end. Buy TODAY and get your very own Pot of Gold TOMORROW!
April, 8, RV time, Sterling Currency
Hey MCFlowers,
What did you buy it for and what where the fees?
Thanks!
Same goes for Fifth Third Bank in Jacksonville, FL. I do know that not all banks in the US buy/sell Dinar. You have to find a bank in your area that does. In fact, I purchased another 800K today. And Yes, you can sell it back at any time. Just like you can buy and sell any other world currency at any time. The variable is what exchange rate will you buy or sell at? Thats the big question and of course if the RV happens makes the big bonus deal.
Bank of america with an account and TD bank 1 million max without account. At least in NY.
i believe that this will happen because the U.S. is involved in the Iraq war, so that is why i think this revaluation will happen.
Not all Bank of Americas, however, exchange Iraqi Dinars with the general public (they trade more with other banking institutions) If you would like legitimate dinars, I suggest going to a Currency exchange which you can find at any of your local malls.
If you, however, prefer electronic funds, you can open up an overseas account with Al Warka Bank (Iraqi Bank that is renowned for customer service with oversea currency holders…google search them for more information) This way would yield the most dinars for your USD being that they don’t have to charge a large fee since it is their own currency.
So foreign currency is a scam now? Just because you can’t spend it in America doesn’t meen its a scam….Ever heard of traditional foreign exchange? (virtually know as FOREX) PRIME EXAMPLE: British Pounds are valued at 1 pound = $1.60 USD…MEANING that for every 1 GBP (United Kingdom Pound) you sell over you get $1.60 in US Dollars….so is this a scam as well??? How about you go read a book on foreign exchange and educate yourself before making another blissfully ignorant comment and save all of us intelligent and well informed people a lot of time from proving how unaware you are of current international affairs…
I have purchased all of my Dinar at my local 1st National B Of Omaha located at 114t & Dodge street Omaha Nebraska. They also buy it back. Wellsfargo Banks also sell it in some states. Chase bank In Illinois also sells it. These are just a few examples I have first hand knowledge of.
Hey Derek, what was the location of the Bank of America you purchased it from? Also, what was the price you paid, fees, and what denomination was the currency in (25,000 or 10,000 notes) and did they give you a choice?
Amen to that, place your faith in God and give GOD his share after the RV…
The best why to know that this is not a scam is to purchase the Iraqi Dinar from an Bank of America, that way you have proof of authenticity. Plus they will give you an order form, plus another form stating that it real money, that what I did.
No, hold on to them. In order for Iraq to rebuild their country the revalue must happen! Sit om the Dinar until it happens. The country is heading in the right direction and their currency will increase in value! To what extent, who knows but either way at the rate we purchased them at well get our money back and then some. Remember, Iraqis currency was worth 3 times ours pre saddam. They have more oil than they know what to do with. Their country with the government in place which is almost there willbe worth a ton. Its a matter of structuring the government and getting order. Be patient, IT WILL HAPPEN
Thanks so much for posting this rare and helpful information, I have a much better understanding of the revaluation!
The key factor will be making sure the Dinars are not counterfeit, not where you bought them from.
If you see a website claiming that where you bought dinar from will a factor IF it revalues, then move to another site, it’s simply another way to trap you into buying from that website!
It would go something like this: “We are registered with the US Treasury and sell legitimate iraqi dinar. Should the dinar be revalued, only those dinar purchased from a legitimate dealer will be allowed to trade for the new value.”
Doesn’t matter where you buy it from, just make sure they have a great reputation and guarantee authenticity.
What will be the best way to exchange legitimate dinar purchased on eBay (as suggested by the “Buy Iraqi Dinar” page found on this site) if the revaluation makes those purchases worth a significant amount of money? I’m concerned about banks and dealers requiring proof that the dinar came from legal sources when trying to exchange them and not being able to provide enough proof for them to accept. Won’t the government put those exchanges under a large amount of scrutiny?
Sounds like a scam to me.
Will dream come true?
Hi Sam,
Best way to buy dinar safely for the best price is right here at Buy Iraqi Dinar. Let competition get you the best deal, just make sure it’s a top seller!
That is completely false information Paul. I have personally verified this with two US Banks, one in my local area. They DO indeed sell Iraqi Dinar AND buy Iraqi Dinar. I’ve provided details to all this in my ebook.
Is Iraqi Dinar Legal?
Yes, it is – there is a lot of controversy over buying Iraqi Dinars. Presidential Order 13303 allows US Citizens to invest in the New Iraq. Under this Order and the Coalition Provisional Government Order 39, a US citizen has the same rights to investments as an Iraqi citizen. In fact, you can pick up Iraq Money at your local bank here in the US!
Check your facts, banks here in the U.S. do not except or sell or buy Iraq dinar. You can exchange a small amount at the airport. I have 40 million dinar and can not unload it.
please send information on how to buy Iraqi Dinnar.
I was told the bank of Kuwait started swapping old for new yesterday 23/3/11
Also, Get a friend you trust who is outside Australia to hold them for you
is this a good time to buy the new iraqi dinars.if so, do you have any idea whin they will flip
so do you think the revaluation will be during april 2011? since they are having the meeting on budget!!
My barber has been after me about investing in this money . I want to make sure it safe and not a bad investment. He had already spent over 3000 us dollars in this money. I don’t feel good about it.
To SJP
Okay so my dad has dinar and i found out that this whole thing was going on and got really excited, are they really going to go up 3.20? What do you think?
to sjp ,
maybe you’ve been to Iraq but you still don’t know whats going on the all sanctions were not lifted yet ,the Iraq government just agreed to pay kwait 20 billion as last payment for damages done during occupation some years back. Iraq’s parliament is set to meet mid April 2011 when payment will be made allowing un to lift final sanction against them, freeing them to trade throughout the world.
Also in the same time frame, the financial minster announced the final vote for the 2011 budget will be held and if you do the math on their oil reserves based on that budget the dinar should open trade @ 1 dinar to 085 USDollar.
Dinars will never ever revalue because America is in charge of Iraq they control it and the money… they would not want dollar to fall against Iraq after they made Iraq a better place… so sale them now if you have any dinars and get your American money back and pay ur mortgage with instaed of sitting there thxxx.
Buying dinar is akin to buying a penny stock, or playing a slot machine. Its a long shot gamble. If you have a few hundred dollars of extra money you want to risk, this is as good as any other long shot. I’ve had mine 5 years now, and have lost to inflation and paid too much for it, just as the author of this site says.
But – on the other hand, if things had gone differently and drastically improved there, it could have been worth something. It might be yet, but I’m tired of waiting and am going to sell my 450,000. Oh well—
I own a large amount of Dinars. Is now, the right time to exchange for US Dollar?
How can I exchange the; 2006 Iraqi Dinar into the new 2010 Iraqi Dinar?
Can I buy a smaller dollar amount for the same rate? And what US banks sell Dinars
What US Bank did you purchase your dinar from?
How can it be assumed that the oil tycoons are going to become wealthy again when the rv occurs? the money that they currently posses is worthless and will never be anything but. That is why they printed new iraqi dinar notes.
Yes they will be rich again due to the costly price of oil but that is why the price is going up. the oil price is high now due to the shortage of everyone trying to keep up with what iraq formally produced. with them unable to trade now, they will simply raise prices to counter their loss of revenue. And with the rv hitting and causing investors to profit largely in the us will only cause the us dollar to depreciate.
Leaving the investor just about where they were when they started. That is unless they invest the profit into some kind of hard currency that will not loose its value such as gold. Then take the gold and sell it back to the us to counter the depreciating value. But the us is still going to profit the most from this because of their initial investment and the capital gain tax in which they impose on all the investors in its country.
i believe it is right at 28%. So unless the rv is substantial the profit margin may not be as well as you might have assumed. Lets say it was a .10 increase your investment was 116 us for 100,000 dinar that’s 10,000 – the 28% is 7200 and – the 116 is 7084. Still not bad but not as good as 1 or even 3.2.
To eric
Sorry to burst your bubble but I have been to iraq twice on deployment and with regards to you saying they have no paper money. You are wrong. I bought my iraqi dinar directly from an iraqi national.
Oh and again you said as soon as reestablishment of money occurs they will lift the un sanctions. Here is another thing you are wrong about. They have already lifted the sanctions on iraq. Lol. Get your facts straight before you comment.
To all who are questioning when; if you just pay attention to ak news iraq or just watch cnn you will find out all you need to know. So kick back and relax and just let the rv happen when its time. Pay attention to what is happening now and here in your life and make sure your doing the right thing with your money today.
To all take it easy and go rv
I have a nieve question,
Why, when you buy Iraqi Dinars, do you recieve phyisical money?
given that its illegal to export currency from Iraq. Im in Australia and the customs here are conficating Dinars upon arrival if they are sent physicaly in the post.,
Why is it, you don’t seem to be able to invest in the Dinar through normal brokers
and currency services firms? Like in the fx market.
What are your feelings on the revalue of the Dinar
RAJ – Your awesome buddy
Buddy,
Actually the dinar was higher before Saddam took over. You can check the history to verify. As far as the value of the dinar, the IMF has rules and formulas to assure that each country is falling within “the ditches”. As far as an investment, I look at the probabilities of something happening and what the rules in place are, not what I want to happen. We can all come up with our own theories and how we want it to play out, but when I am investing money, I try and look at the facts, just the facts. One thing is constant, the RV will happen. The variables: time & how much. One reason it is called speculation and the main reason most people do not do it.
The Formula for figuring out the value of the Currency (I think) is:
Price per barrel X barrels sold per day (ave.) X days barrels sold
divided by Currency printed each year
For example: 77.00 x 2 million barrels x 259 selling days
divided by 30 trillion Dinar
39886000000 / 30,000,000,000,000 = .0013
or about 1/1000 of a Dollar.
When they start ‘Vaulting’ US Currency to back the Dinar and slashing
the amount of Dinar they print each year.
The Currency should sky Rocket.
I came up with this formula based on the data supplied by the ‘IMF’. org.
Not sure if the formula is right, but it seems to work.
Tina, so sorry to hear about your situation! Keep hope close by you.
Yes the Dinar is a risk, as is any investment, but you stand to gain big time on this one. Most likely this will never happen again (not in our lifetime or our childrens’.) Take pride in that you were a part of history. I hope for you and me to be blessed with this but I hope more that you have a relationship with Jesus Christ. He has lifted me out of the darkest places… placed my feet on solid ground! When this is all done, by your sister a steak dinner and tip the server 100%.
Dinars for cheap, cheapest on the net yet trusted? Check out my “Buy Iraqi Dinar’ page :)
They can make the rate whatever they want and obviously when they want. Please tell me that you don’t believe they would have their currency revalue under our presently declining currency. Who gives a flip who was in control then. Who cares if it was or wasn’t a natural exchange rate. Just revalue already!!!!
Thanks for this article.
If I wanted to, how can I safely buy Iraqi Dinar from Australia. No one trades in the currency here.
Thank you
I have been folowing dinars for a while and the wait has been awful. do you think its (RV) going to happen soon and where can I buy Dinars cheap?
is this a good investment i have 275.000 in dinars
Thanks for your good, objective information.
eventhough the probability of making money is slim, do you recommend a web site to make a small investment? I know about the conterfeit dinars, so I wanted to see if you could help. thanks
What’s interesting is that many people keep stating the previous Iraqi exchange rate of ~$3.20 for 1 Iraqi Dinar. That exchange rate was forced by Saddam. It wasn’t a natural exchange rate. It wasn’t based on the same foundation that say, Kuwait has for why it had such a strong exchange value. You can’t compare pre-2003 Saddam-era exchange rates to what is to be any future exchange rate. The basis will be completely different.
I’m interested in the old iraqi dinars with the picture of Saddam on it . Will buy a lot at right price.
@ Randy,Thanks …this is what I have been telling my brother for 2 years. What you are saying is the truth..People don’t listen to truth, and that is so sad..
@ Speculator, To many Americans people are looking for a way out…So every chance they get to invest in stock, they take that chance without investing in their knowledge. To dig a little deeper into facts…We jump in without life jackets on and drown ourselves- then hope and pray a breakthrough from our investments come through..I have a brother that invest much of his hard earned money into dinars,he lives pay check to pay check.I tell him to stop and investegate more before you drown youself.
This is what will keep us as americans down and broke.
America wins-or loses one Citizen at a time. Our cities and towns, our counties and our States determine the future of our country ,one human being at a time.
Each of us can listen, and in doing so we will enrich our lives and change the lives of other.
Stop,Think and Listen before you buy…or get the whole truth.
Thank you so much, this was very helpful ,and no one has never put it so plainly before!
Like any investment, Invest what you can afford to lose.and remember pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered
Dennis,
First of all, thanks for your insight on the RV. I have a few questions…why will we have 30 days after the notification to exchange for dollars? Shouldnt the value of the dinar only increase with time as the country becomes more stable? One more question for you or anyone else that may know…whats up with silver bullion? Like most people I am a little skeptical about all this, but I am thinking of purchasing a few mill in dinar. Thanks!
Harold,
Ask yourself HOW MUCH it’s gone up, then factor in inflation and expenses before you make such statements!
The Dinar has gone up now three times and is about to make a big move, how has that lost anyone any money, you should do some research and get your facts correct, yes this is America and there is free speech, but get it correct.
Also, Your not using all the facts here, oil is going up and up and up, in the past 3 weeks it has gone up how much? Who has the second maybe 1st largest oil supply?
me and my ex husband purchased the iraqi dinar thinking it was gonna do good in a couple years like we were told we’ve had it over 5 yrs and it hasn’t done anything!
All his friends were like, oh it will be a million dollars and u will be debt free well we are divorced now and split it 50/50 and still nothing changes how long till it ever becomes anything?
My family says don’t hold my breath on it! and my sister didn’t let my brother in law even buy any since she sees how we aren’t getting anything out of it!!!! well i hope to prove them wrong and that it does go up in value and one day get out of it what was promised!!! It would be nice to have that happen before i die!!!!
I am a believer, US bank is selling Dinar, Myself and several friends just bought about several 1000000 $ in Dinar.
So US banks are selling and also resetting there counter’s to get ready, Fact.
If for nothing more we all have a nice Vacation in our minds, and i haven’t got that from the stock market, a chance to do for your family and help other people as well. Give Back.
I’ve been watching and reading just about everything including the most obscure “facts” that I can verify on the web, my primary source of information. I’m also heavily into the Dinar for some time – enough to be very happy at RV time. Nowhere have I ever read that there will be an RV, not officially anyway. I’ve heard the term “RV” for years now from pumpers and speculators but never from the GOI or the banks. However, this does not discourage me in this investment. Here’s why:
There are all too many reasons that there will be an RV and soon but let’s start with one. Let’s take the report of “low denominations” being readied for the ATM’s which are being readied for the electronic transfer system which is waiting for the banking software which is waiting for the consolidation of smaller Iraqi banks to be completed before then lower bills are issued. Whew! What is a 100 Dinar note worth now? About 8.5 cents. With the recent credible report that each Iraqi that qualifies will receive 15,000 Dinars on their Smart Cards this month as payment for the first 3 months of this year, at the current rate of $0.00085 per Dinar this adds up to a whopping $12.50 – hardly worth the effort. However, if an RV occurs PRIOR to the issuance of the small denomination bills at let’s say $0.35 per Dinar then each Iraqi would receive $5,250 (or $1,750 per month) in a lump sum. This is very reasonable to expect. Will there be a LOP? What would a $1,000 Dinar note be worth? $1.00??? No way. That would make anything less (500,100, 50, 20, 10, 5 notes) would be actually worth LESS that the cost to print them (each bill regardless of denom costs 5.5 cents to print). This means that at the current RATE a 10 Dinar note costs exactly 10 Dinars to print. What about the 5 Dinar note? Go figure.
This is just a sample of the details that form the basis of my belief that an RV is real, it will be around 35 cents, and it will be soon. I suspect we will have about 30 days after notification to exchange them for dollars. I suggest each of you move 95% of your dollars into silver bullion within an hour of it hitting your bank account.
Thank you for ur web site, it clears thinks up!
send me more information about the iragi dinnar.. or the ebook. I have purchased some thousands of the new iragi dinnar sometime ago ( 2009 ). as i live in Sabah Malaysia i donot know which bank in Malaysia i should sell the iragi dinar and when…??
Interesting,
There will always be those with optimistic opinions, and pessimistic on issue, it depends on who is invested in Iraqi dinar and who isn’t, simple. As I see it, no, it will not be restored to former value overnight, it will take years, but it will happen, just not immediately as many predict and speculate.
I picked up my Iraqi dinar at start for an average of $640. per million, so I could care less when it happens, or if it happens, for I have not lost a dime, and I cannot say that about all my other conventional investments over the same past 7 plus years, especially real estate. The only investment that has done better than my dinar are gold and silver.
I feel we will see only a restoration to up to .33 cent range, not $3.00 plus range many are hyping, so sorry to burst any windfall bubbles, but it won’t happen for years, and only under a managed float will we ever see it rise to the $3.00 level per million dinar. Personally, I was always in it for long term, as in 10 years or more, so with how I see it, we will see a dollar by end of year, so don’t cash out all your dinar before then is my best advice or you will miss the most significant gains and potential. They will flush out speculators, then allow the managed float, and with sinking dollar, I feel more comfortable holding dinar than dollar, so don’t be fooled into cashing out too soon.
As well, many are looking at it like a lottery ticket, and I agree, you take your chances with any investment, so this is no different, but like with all investments, you have to do your research first and foremost. Has it been a risk, not really, and although if I sold today, I would be only doubling my investment, not thrilling given the time, at least it is not a loss. Going forward, it is like having the winning lottery ticket, but you don’t know the drawing date yet. lol
To Dinar Holder: I completely disagree with you with no regrets.
Who are the ones who will pay for the RV?
Answer: The whole world will pay.
Why?
Answer: because the whole world will want their interests settled in Iraq.
The theory that the Iraqi government will give their dollars to exchange the papers they produced and paid for is stupid, illogical. – Americans will give their dollars, Europe and others too to get the dinars from me and you.
Companies who will run the countries oil industry, and perhaps in your surprise the other gold( the yellow one) too which is surfacing in Iraq (nut just the black one).
Bottom line: Iraq is the richest country in the world in natural resources and its currency is the most valuable currency out there because of this fact.- The Iraqis who run the country know how and what they need in order to make them selves rich beyond imagination, the answer is an RV of the dinar which will attract countries globally, and it will last ( only for them Iraqis until they run out of dollars which they keep in their reserves but can not touch) and the RV will last years for small pies like me and you will sell them to the world.
And for you my dear friends,.. Do not worry; the banks will beg you to give them your dinars which they will use them (the only possible mean ) to get the iraq’s work force to build them their empires in Iraq, that includes the infrastructure and the security
have a nice dream to you all.
Eric,
You are the one claiming that the US Government stated the dinar will be revalued and probably at $3.20. I asked you for proof of that and your response is to ask me for proof which obviously shows you have no proof and that in fact, everything you said is pure speculation.
Simply provide a link to your claim and don’t go around dishing out false hopes!
Uh, excuse me, but where’s your proof? I’ve seen nothing but conjecture and speculation from you, not one bit of evidence proving anything you’ve said to be true. Maybe that’s why you use the name “Speculator”, huh? Don’t bother responding, you’ve nothing intelligent to say to me. I know what my nephew has been saying the people in Iraq continue to talk about, and that is the revaluation of the dinar, they want to have the same amount of money they used to have. Whether you believe it or not makes no difference to me.
A pre-determined amount of new Dinar were printed. This figure was approved by the U.N. and the World Bank. These Dinar have a value that is relative to Iraq’s GDP (apprx 80 Billion/yr). In addition, debt to the U.N. and debt to allies was included (this reduced the value dramatically). Finally, the PROJECTED potential growth of the economy was determined (this is where the oil contracts…or potential oil contracts fit in). This last figure is realistically the ONLY economic export of interest and in reality the Dinar should be seen as an “oil based” currency. The result is a figure that TEMPORARILY allowed Iraq to print money, and distribute money to foreign entities. The resolution REQUIRES Iraq to value infrastructure, oil contracts, oil holdings, and when established, to re-value the Dinar. At this point they could theoretically value it at anything they wanted. Obviously, too high a value limits availability and too low reduces purchasing power. The question then is “What in the world does Iraq need to purchase from any other country? The answer is NOTHING! Plan on a low RV that provides Iraq’s new government with the ability to print new money but limit inflation. If 350% returns were realistic, trust me, their would not be Dinar available to purchase. It would have been gobbled up by the world bank, and by foreign governments wanting to use devalued currency to buy accurately valued oil!
Again, it was only temporary and only available to the inner circle of friends and if your statement
was correct, US Banks would not be buying and selling dinar!
If you can’t quote the US Government’s promise to revalue the Iraqi Dinar, then it’s all speculation.
Huh?? Where are you getting your information? You needed to be in the military and spend a little time in Iraq. The dinar’s value at the time of the second attack the US did on Iraq was $3.20 US for every dinar. Every person in Iraq is anxiously awaiting the revaluation of the dinar. It wasn’t “just for Saddam’s friends”, I have no clue where you got that from. My nephew just came back from Iraq, serving in the refueling squadron out of Wichita’s McConnell Air Force Base.
What!@*, you don’t really believe that do you? If there were a bit of truth to that, the American banks would not be selling and buying ‘unrecognized’ Dinar!
The $3.20 you’re throwing out there as the dinar revaluation won’t happen; it was only 3.20 for Saddam’s closest friends and didn’t mean anything to anyone outside of Iraq.
Saying the US Government promised something is easy to do, anyone can claim that – Can you provide quotes from the US Government stating they are going to revalue the Iraqi Dinar at $3.20?
I, like you, wish for the best, but this is too much.
The US government. Currently, the dinar isn’t recognized outside Iraq. It MUST be revalued, otherwise these Iraqi people who were once oil tycoons will have dinar that will continue to hold money that is totally worthless. Right now, there is no currency used inside Iraq, but UN regulated credit. Iraq can’t do any oil trading or any importing/exporting until the dinar is reestablished. This isn’t about Americans making money, but rather the Iraqi people getting the currency they hold reestablished as legal tender with other countries. Once the dinar is reestablished, the UN sanctions can be lifted.
Actually, if promises made to the Iraqi people hold true, the dinar will be revalued at $3.20. If they don’t, there’s gonna be a lot of pissed off oil tycoons getting short-changed.
Sorry about that. This isn’t about “America getting rich off their sweat”. This is about multimillionaires in Iraq who currently are holding money that has no value outside Iraq. The Iraqi people want the money rv’d so they can once again begin selling their oil.
The Iraqi government was given until June 2011 to get their government established, then the dinar will be once again recognized by other countries. I’ve heard there is a meeting set for Iraq to address the UN later this month (March 2011). The Iraqi government does not want this RV not happening, there are oil contracts pending with other countries that can’t take place until the revaluation happens. If, as some in this forum are saying, the dinar is RV’d at a fraction of its former value, there will be demonstrations in Iraq that will make the ones in Egypt and Libya seem like a minor squabble.
Eric, who promised that the dinar would be revalued?
Absolutely! You see, Iraqi’s have been promised the dinar will be revalued to what it was when Saddam was ousted. At that time, ONE dinar was worth $3.20 US dollars. Yes, believe it or not, the US dollar isn’t the most valuable in the world! In fact, there is talk the US will be removed as the standard for world currency due to our excessive debt. If that happens, the value of the US dollar will plunge to new depths. Money talks, as you know. Who has the money? Oil producing countries like Iraq. Think we’re going to piss them off?
Do you think Iraq’s dinar would rise to be the stronger dollar against the Untied States money
Iraq has $12 trillion of oil reserves. get your facts straight please. the RV will be around 25 cents-$1.16. the country cannot survive with the going rate.
..its sad that people invest and don’t have a clue what the deal is before they invest ..here’s the skinny .if revaluation occurs ..they will remove 3 zeros off all denominations ….the 25,000 dinar note will become a 25 dinar note ..this is correct ..then the valuation is somewhere around 85 cents per dinar … a 25 dinar note will worth around 20 dollars ..you get 40 ….25,000 dinar notes for every million you buy right now ..ok those 40 dinar notes will be worth 20 dollars each ..or 1000 dollars ..that’s the revaluation ..now they also will increase the value to be representative and equal to the surrounding countries to Iraq ..which is about $3.50 cents for one dinar ..so you stand to make about 350% off your investment at best..its not a bad return ..those who think they are getting 3.50 for every dinar now is ridiculous ..they have about 25 trillion dinars in circulation right now if they gave you 3 dollar for each dinar that would cost them 75 trillion dollars ..Iraq does not have that kind of money ..or they don’t have that much oil in the ground if they backed it up with mineral rights ..its never going to happen ..if you get 350% return you should be happy..that’s it around 3500 return for 1000 investment ..don’t be stupid use your head ..if they revalued it to 10 cents ..they would have to have 2.5 trillion dollars to do it ..they don’t have that either ..their gdp is like 80 billion a year ..think about it …any way if your not a real investor ..buying like 10 million dollars worth ….like 1 billion dinars ..your not going to be rich..the rich get richer ..everyone else is just workers ..sorry to tell ya this ..i thought you should know the truth
I have been holding dinar for over 3 years. I can tell you with out a doubt, sell it now. It will be years before it revalues. But when it does, it will be a different dinar. Remember this is a middle eastern country. The will never let America get rich off there sweat. I sold all mine last week. I sold off 12 million in Dinar. I have no regrets.
I have a weird feeling the RV happens in the next few weeks…Maybe as high as 3
Hi Stacey,
I have invested in the Iraqi Dinar (a million dinar) but I have very little faith in it and when I purchased it, I did so thinking of it as nothing more than the lottery.
I have been considering dinar but am so confused. I hear an RV should have already taken place. And speculations made that it should have happened 3 years ago. Any facts you have will help
Have you invested in the Iraqi dinar? According to your research and to the best of your knowledge, when do you think it will RV and under what circumstances?
I have recently invested in two million Dinar. It seems like with all of the turmoil in the Middle East that Iraqi’s infrastuctur is farther ahead now and positioning to start providing more oil and hopefully increase the Dinar value. I would be interested to hear positive or negative perspectives.
If not in my lifetime my childrens, childrens, children would be good. That is how many cultures think and that is why they are so substantiated for the most part. If the Dinar doesn’t happen in your lifetime, it may in your childs!
When you gamble you either win or lose. Usually you loss all that you gamble because the odds are with the house and their experienced dealers versus the player. The Iraqi Dinar is not a gamble because it does have a value associated with it. If its value remains constant and the United States Dollar (USD) drops 50% in value, then the Iraqi Dinar should double in value. The USD is likely to devalue 50% in the next few years. The increased price of gold is the best indicator of this devaluation.
Soon a Middle East war is coming. This war is going to change a lot in the Middle East. One of those changes could be a need for Iraqi oil like never before. Another one of those changes could easily be much more expensive oil. The price of oil going up is not going to hurt the Iraqi Dinar. The value of the USD going down is not going to hurt the value of the Iraqi Dinar.
The rich men of the earth are behind the value of the Iraqi Dinar. They did not have all the security features they put into this currency there for no reason. Why all the security for a currency they plan on keeping pretty much low in value. I don’t think the rich men of the earth put all the security features into the Iraqi Dinar they did without some plan to RV some day.
The coming Middle East war may be part of their plan to RV the Iraqi Dinar. I suspect so. When will this happen? I do not know. I suspect it will happen after the coming Middle East war is over.
Get ready for $10 a gallon gas. Get ready for a Middle East War. Get ready for last days Biblical prophecy to begin to unfold in a serious way. In the process of getting ready for these, it may not be too bad an ideal to invest (not gamble) in a few million Iraqi Dinar. Just in case the RV happens in your life time.
