About our Iraqi Dinar website: I started IraqiDinar.org back in September of 2004 after a friend told me about the Iraq Dinar and the possibility of obtaining great wealth for next to nothing. Being the skeptical type, I set off to research this possible opportunity.

What I found was a complete lack of quality information about the Dinar; actually, more like an abundance of biased information that was all designed around pumping up the Dinar.

Most frustrating were the forums that looked like real people from around the world who were discussing their experiences and optimistic viewpoints. These forums were really filled with people selling the Iraqi Dinar and simply trying to drive you to their site.

Frustrated, I set out to compile all the factual information about the Dinar that I could find and place everything into an ebook. Should you decide to invest after reading the book and this site, you will at least be aware of the risks associated with this currency and how to buy it from banks rather than sites.

Many people write and ask me if the money of Iraq is a good investment. Personally, I think there are a lot better investments out there than the Iraqi Dinar. If you buy it, do so understanding that your chances of winning the State Lottery are probably far better than ever hitting it big with the Dinar.

    I’ve purchased some Iraq Money and hoping it really pans out for me! I’ve made a lot of bad decisions in my life and had a lot of bad luck so I’m counting on this really taking off! Think positive!

    My friends bought 2 million dinar each 7 years ago but they are worried about the reprint factor which will make the current dinar worthless. Is this a realistic concern?

    I would like to rich as would everyone, my question is do you think it will even have a value of a the us dollar? that way i stand to still make a considerable return on my investment.. What are your thoughts?

    Hi Teresa,

    Yes, the Iraqi Dinar is real and you can buy them right now, in fact, at the time of this comment, $1 US dollar will get you 1,169 Iraqi Dinars. You’ll notice that there are a TON of investors talking about how you’ll get rich when it equals the value of the US dollar 1 to 1 as it did in the past, but what you’re not hearing is that it was never really 1 to 1, or 3 to 1 and that Saddam declared this to be the value (probably in some drug induced state) but no other countries listened (that’s not how it works).

    People pushing the dinar however, use this to say that it happened once and will happen again. Or, that it’s comparable to the Kawatti dinar, which it is not! It’s a big gamble, big as the lottery and you should understand this if you buy the currency!
